My Frigidaire refrigerator ice maker broke. I called the 800 number on my owner's manual. Since it is out of warranty, the recording gave me a list of authorized repair places nearest to my home. I called Same Day Appliance Repair and they had this guy call me to schedule an appointment for later that day. Their website says they come in a company van with all the parts and stuff. They sent two guys in a beat up old car that came 45 minutes late. The so-called "Technician" didn't speak any English at all, and the other guy barely spoke English and was on his cell phone the whole time they were here.
They had no ID, no company, and it was obvious they had no idea what the hell they were doing. After about an hour of wasting my time, the one guy informed me that the ice maker could not be fixed. He then had me make out a check to him personally and left without giving me an invoice or anything. Frigidaire refuses to do anything about this, saying it was my faulgt I used an unauthorized repair sevice. I did everything right and now they're telling me it's my fault? That's outrageous. I plan on filing complaints against both Same Day Appliance Repair and Electrolux/Frigidaire and taking them to small claims court.
