It's funny instead of supporting the concern & awareness you rather bash the issue. There is NO exaggeration to the growing pattern with Sams Club in it's entirety. The facts of my complaint are totally honest.
Perhaps if this were to happen to YOU....Then maybe a change of heart you would have. All I was doing was bringing awareness to a concern nothing more. If you have a problem with my views, then what can I say.... Such is life.

You went to a warehouse club in the Bronx four days before Christmas at 5PM? Did you seriously expect to get in and out just because you had a few items?
" Over an hour has passed and no check-out lines moving. "
Here's where you lost me. I can understand the frustration of battling Christmas crowds at a warehouse store, but the statement above has me wondering if maybe you haven't exaggerated your story just a bit (or maybe a lot).

Get a business membership and shop between 9 and 10 in the morning. Then you don't have to deal with all the peons. Wait, you DO have a business membership. 4 days before Christmas, who would have thought they'd be busy?

First off let me make this clear, This is not the first negative experience with Sams Club period. As a business member for over twenty plus years. I have seen a growing deterioration of customer service at Sams Club. Bottom line " They Don't Care" ...
What does it take for an establishment to finally understand "Enough is Enough"? Whether it's a Regular day, Holiday weekend it does not matter, No customer should have to spend an eternity in a check out line... Especially if you have only three items.. Bj's & Costco have way better service and they go out of their way to earn your business... Sams club should take notice and learn from the competition.
I'm not blowing things out of proportion but bringing awareness to a growing issue at this location. Trust me if this happened to you! Then you would see first hand the garbage I have to deal with. Don't take my word go there an see for yourself.

You wanted to make a "quick" trip to a Warehouse store 5 days before Christmas during the same time people are getting off of work and heading home who are also wanting to make a trip to the store to pick up things for the Holidays. Sounds like the real issue is that they did not treat you special because you had only 3 items.
According to you they had 3 registers closed. So how many did they have open? I would guess that if they are like other typical warehouse stores they probably had around 20-30 open. Since according to you the lines did not move in that hour how much would those extra 3 registers help?
Over an hour has passed and no check-out lines moving.
- So you got into a line, and one hour later were in the exact same place. Aren't you exaggerating your story just a bit?
So I looked towards the photo shop area....There was only one patron ahead of me.
- Let's see there were lines everywhere, yet at the Photo Counter there was only 1 person? Perhaps the clerk was afraid that they would get bombarded with customers and wouldn't be able to do the things they need to do to get the photo orders out. Or perhaps this may be another exaggeration.
Again I was escorted again to now the members desk....Waiting another 15 minutes while another patron was going through an equally frustrated problem of checking out as well.
- Oh you mean the same desk that earlier had 35 customers in line and only one person?
The cashier had no CASH in the till to ring me out.
- So as busy as they are, you were the first person all day to want to use cash?
As of 05-22-2012, I have yet to be contacted by SAMS CLUB customer service....?
- Did you ask any one of them to have someone contact you? Did you ever take it upon yourself to call them later? Or did you just assume that turning in your card with no other information was a clue with as busy as they were that they should have picked up on that you wanted someone to contact you?
Look, I am not saying that having to wait that long is good, I am not saying that they shouldn't make every REASONABLE effort to check out the customers as quickly as possible. I am also not saying that if you have used the Photo Center before and it was truly empty of customers that they shouldn't have sent you away. However, at the same time you have to realize when you went. While it also seems that you are exaggerating your report a bit, if it was truly as bad as you say I would have left as well.

I have experienced similar problems with checking out at other stores. I refuse to stand in line for an unreasonable time to hand someone my money. My solution is to just place the merchandise on the floor and walk out the door. I have left grocery carts with frozen foods defrosting in the checkout lane. No way would I wait in line for 90 minutes for anything!
Even though they could not staff their cash registers, I will bet that there would have been no shortage of security if you tried to walk out with their merchandise without paying.
