I went into Samuels Jewelery to buy some jewelery.



The store manager talked me into buying a great set of diamond earrings and trading in my princess cut for a nice round diamonds.And he would give me a great deal taking the diamonds out of two rings to make a set of earrings.



So I did.He gave me 1380.00 credit for princess cut earrings.I paid more but figured he was giving me a deal.And he charged me 2899.00 x two for two diamonds to make the set. So the total he got out of me with my old earrings and the new ones 6400.00 plus that included insurance.I bought them in Texas because I was traveling alot at that time and was back and forth in Teaxs and California.



I went to go sell them do to a family emergency.I went to three dealers in Ca where I am living.I first called samuels out here for I have bought over 14 years alot of jewelery form them.They told me that they do not buy back their diamonds.(Now I know why) I was in total shock to find out that after all of this money I put into these diamonds they were worth less than a thousand for the set of earrings.



Here I thought this company over 100 years would be honest.And to find out that I got earrings that are worth less than walmart earrings just makes me sick.For 14 years I only went to them to buy for my daughters and self their jewelery and gifts for friends as well.I feel so sick to know they made so much money off of me not to mention they have another pair of earrings from me as well.



I have never never and I mean never have complain nor wrote to anyone on anything that I have ever purchase.But this just got my attension not to let this company rip off single females ever again.WOW what I fool I feel like.I thought I was being smart and the store manager talking the talk and walking the walk.What a fool I was to trust this company.



Can you imagine my face to find out that these people are telling me that they are worth less than a thousand and I put in 6,400.00 5020.00 for the price and to give them my old earrings that they said 1380.00



I would like to see them give me my money back and I will be more than happy to give them their walmart diamonds back.I bet walmarts are even better than mine and real.

No one will give you retail prices for used jewelry.  You paid retail for it.  Very few jewelry stores will even buy back your jewelery.  Some will but they will often low ball you since people selling jewelry at wholesale clearly "need" the money.  Complain about the amount the store offering to buy them gave you and accept that jewelry has high markups.  Don't want to pay high markups?  Don't buy it.
