Savage Quilter Jessica Olea Deseptive practices in buying sewing machines and accessories OKLAHOMA CITY Oklahoma
For the last several weeks, I have been advertising a Singer featherweight sewing matching and a Singer 301 folding table on Craig’s List. I received several messages that Jessica Olea was interest in buying these 2 items, and wanted to know if I would give her a discount it but both. In the email it came out that, she owned the The Savage Quilter in Oklahoma City. On several occasions she asked me more than once if I was sure the table was for the Singer 301 sewing machine, I verified that it was. Today I took the Singer Featherweight sewing machine in to her shop, where her and her partner looked at the sewing machine and gave me a very low price, far below the $450 dollars I was asking, stating that they would only pay $225, and I was then informed they would sell it in the shop for $595.00. Jessica told her partner that I had a Singer 301 sewing machine head and a Singer 301 sewing table. The asked how much I wanted for the table and what was the condition of the table, I told them it was in excellent condition, I was then told that if I brought it in they would purchase the table from me at the asking price of $75.00.
When I returned to the shop, they noted the table was in excellent condition as I had stated and then said the table was not for a Singer Featherweight, after they knew it was for a Singer 301 sewing machine. Then they started the acting like they thought the table was for a feather weight and that was why they wanted it after it was made clear that it was a Singer 301 table. They informed me that they did not want it after informing me that they would take buy if I brought it into the shop. I spent 2 hours dealing with the shop and several gallons of gasoline to get to their location, to be offered a below market value price and to be then informed they did not want the table I had to sell. The defraud people in selling sew machines to them a s very low prices for them to sell they at a premium price. The convince people to waste their time and money to bring items for them to look at and refuse to purchase after telling the people that they will buy. This business is a rip off.
