I was looking for a job on craigs list and I saw an opportunity for employment in Burlingame in fasion and they pay while they train, with compensation. I was schedualed for an interview that evening. When I walked in they were playing vulgar music while one person answered phones and one claimed to be one of the managers.

I was given a number to call at a specified time to call to see if I was accepted for the seconed interview, Which I was.The second interview was the next day with four others that went through the same interview process. Rich Greenly Whom said to be the reigonal mngr. introduced himself and explained a little about the company. Everyone there except Rich was about 18-25 years old.

During the second interview they explained that you can earn up to 57,000 a year and be the manager at our own store. Rich said that we get to pick the building we want them to rent for us. We would get to pick the name of our store and hire our own employee.I was selected that same day to work for their company.

The first day was orientation which we were told to dress very professional.We were told that during training we would be earning a series of badges which started at red and ending with gold. Each badge would be considered a "promotion" and when we earn the gold badge we complete the training and get a Tiffany keychain with the key to our store.

We were told that during training we were going to get paid "dog s**t" ($300.00)weekly. I was instructed that day to go home and sell their fragrance to family and friends. If I sold at least 21 fragrances I would get a week knocked off my training which was supposed to be 60-90 days, and $150.00 dollard. I did just that and the next day I was promoted and ginen $60.00 in cash.

That same day l was instructed to go business to business, person to person to sell their frangrance with their trainer at around 11:30am. That day I was wearing 3 inch heals and a skirt and had to walk in the Downtown Millbrae for five and a half hours.I was very imbarrassed when the store owners were getting loud with us and told us to leave or when the trainers made people opent their car window while they were driving.This trainers also made people open their wallets to her to prove that they didnt have any money.

At 5:30 my trainer took me back to our Burlingame location were we were supposed to check in and give them the number of fragrance we sold and the money. I was then told that the next day I would be doing the same thing but in a parking lot. I was finaly out of there at around 6:30-6:45pm.

Being late to pick up my kids my babysitter resigned.After talking to my husband about what I had been through we both thout it was best to mot continue working for this company.The fact that I signed no papers ment that if anything were to go wrong it was on me and they take nor responsibility for me or the money that was promised.

The next morning I had brougt my two kids with me to resign. I waited for over an hour for any of the managers to come in and no one showed and my kids couldnt wait anymore so I left. I was told by the Management and receptionist and all other trainers that I could pick up the fragrance that my friends and family ordered the next day.

I called the next day to make sure that the fragrance was ready for me to pick up and my trainer said that the manager was going to give it to me the day prior but I left right before he arrived and he was now on a vacation in florida and I would have to wait until he arrived to get the product.I then had to tell everyone that there was a delay in the delivery.

When the manager came back I called and they said I couldnt pick up the fragrance until the evening because it wasnt ready. When I arrived there they told me that they didnt have all the products requested and that I would have to come back when it came in. I again had to tell all these people that there was a delay again.

I again went there the next day and picked up the rest of the fragrance. Thinking it was finally over after delivering their products to the customers,one of the customers was unsatisfyed and called me and wanted their money back. I was not instructed to tell them that there were no returns and ended up paying back that customers money out of my own pocket because the company does not except returns.

I want justice and I dont want anybody to have to experience what I went through. The time away from my children, money owed to daycare and any money given for returned product and gas, was not worth it at all. If I only had known!!!
