Schneider And Associates - Nathan Schneider RIP-OFF ANYONE AND EVERYONE MAJOR SLUMLORD Fayetteville North Carolina
I had rented an apartment from this guy almost 2 years ago. In the contract he was to fix all maintenance problems and do all of the yard work. Needless to say he did NOTHING!!!!
There was a fire hazard in my apartment and he refused to fix it until my entire breaker box blew and started smoking. Which required the Fire Departments assistance. Then the Fire Department told us that the house was not safe to live in and to have the landlord fix it. They actually termed it a "Fire Hazard due to faulty wiring".
Then the next summer the neighbors across the street were dealing drugs and commintting multiple Breaking and Enterings and had pointed several shotguns at my front door. Thus out of fear for my wife's life, my chlidrens life, and my own, I retalliated like any father would.
Now being that I am in the Military, when I told my chain of command, they had given me a lawful order to move and if I didn't move then UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) action would've been brought against me.
So I went and spoke to the small claims devision in the local court house and they had told me to send Nathan Schneider a letter stating what my chain of command had told me and that I was moving out and that if he didn't reply within 10 days I was expecting my security deposit back. Needless to say he never replied.
So being that he didn't comply with the stipulations that I had set within a reasonable time frame, I cleaned the apartment from top to bottom, replaced the locks (from the door being smashed in when I was moving out) and I turned in the keys.
In the 8 months that I lived there (3 of which I was deployed) There were over 300 calls made to him. Only a hand full of messages were able to be left because his voicemail was always full. He had caller ID, so he could avoid his "problem tenants". And believe it or not only 2 calls were returned. Neither of which he returned, only his secretary.
