Our refrigerator is broken again, the same repair needs to be made as it is running continuously wearing down the parts. Again we had 8 scheduled appoinments, Sears cancelled 5, installed the wrong part on the 6th, showed up without the part on 7th, and cancelled again on the 8th. We called to schedule the 9th tonight and the operator said "It's not the techs cancelling the appointments, its the routing dept." I said "I never said the techs cancelled them, I said the techs never showed up for them." And what does it matter - Sears cancelled them all and the appliance is still not repaired. She had the nerve to suggest that I consider purchasing a new one from them so they don't have to keep coming to repair it every 90 days. Why would I buy a new one from them when they can't fix the current one just bought in 2001? We did end up cancelling our credit cards with them and as long as it's covered under warranty I'll keep calling them until it's fixed!

To the ex-sears shrill. I see today where K-MART bought sears. Pretty amazing considering K-Mart was in bankruptcy some 18 months ago. They probably picked it up real cheap. I can't wait to go into a sears and hear the golden phrase"Attention sears shoppers". Do you think they'll bring back the flashing blue lights too? I can't wait. What did I say about Montgomery Ward? Have a nice day.

For the ex sears shrill. Had the exact same thing happen to me except it was the garage door opener. 4 blown appointments. The only good thing was they had sent out the part to repair it after 5 weeks. When they called to schedule the 5th appointment I said forget it, I had installed it myself. My dad bought a $800 fridge from sears 4 years ago. Fri night it starts leaking water and not working. Sat morn they call to schedule a service call. They only go out there Mon, Wed, and Fri. Sat afternoon sears calls back to cancel the Mon call and reset for Wed. Luckily they have a 14 year old fridge THAT STILL WORKS. Transferred the food into it. After that last experience with sears I canceled my maintanence agreements on 4 different items and got a balance of $500 back in a check since I had canceled my sears account and had cut up my card a few years before that. Yes sir, as the ex sears shrill said, sears is getting better everyday, their appliances are the best, and more and more people are becoming sears customers everyday. I wonder if it's a net loss? For every one new customer, they lose two old customers. First Montgomery Wards, can sears be far behind.
