SEARS ruined our Christmas. How about yours!

On November 22, 2003 I purchased a pool table as a Christmas present for our family.

The delivery date was set for November 28th, the day after Thanksgiving.

On November 26th they called to reschedule the delivery for November 29th.

On November 29th they called to reschedule the delivery for December 18th.

Today, December 18th they re-scheduled the delivery of our Christmas present until January 2, 2004.

On each occasion they called the day before confirming the delivery time.

I spoke with customer service and they blame the manufacturer. My options are to wait for it. Go to the store where I purchased it and get something else.

This is what mostly angers me about this. On each occasion they falsely set our expectations by confirming the day before. On each occasion someone had to be home to accept delivery. They advertised it in their Christmas flyer as if it was readily available.

I am wondering how many families have been affected in similar purchases at SEARS.
