Our family had to deal with very similar matters, damage to our home after it was completely remodeled, property broken, and when they finally returned our personal property there were many items that was missing and or stolen. They never returned our calls, we even contacted ServPro Corporate and we were informed there was nothing they could do. Just like the logo says they act "like it never even happened." Each day we came home we found cigarette butts all over the drive and on our deck. Thankfully, our neighbors keep an eye out, because we were informed that everytime they looked out a ServPro employee was outside smoking and talking on their cell phones. No wonder it took so long for them to do there job. This franchise is a joke! We are filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and to the Illinois Attorney General. I noticed on the BBB website there are complaints about this same place. We are also dealing with being over charged on many things that we never approved and our insurance company never asked for. Did you ever get a written estimate if not you may wish to know your rights by going to the Illinois Attorney Generals website like we had to do. We were informed by our insurance provider to take them to court, perhaps all of us that have had to deal with similar issues with this company should pull together and put a stop to the way this company practices business . The sad thing is they take advantage of customers when they are the most vulnerable. We have dealt with a great burden, a lot of sleepless nights and many, many lies from the ServPro of Decatur.
