Complaint Review: Sherman Industries - Westbury New York

Now for the Review:..

If there was a way I could put 0 stars I would. Thieves!!! Liars!!! ..Cheaters!!! 　And more.　

Let me start off with the sales pitch. Pete Schmidt who lied about rebates electrical savings and reliability.　

No appointment s ever made. Called me when I was at an amusement park stating they were over to drill.　

Left area unsafe in which I have a daughter and children play in my area. I had to ask them to come back because it was dangerous.

Took 2 weeks to complete the drilling. Then the company disappeared for 2 months. After constant calling they came and started the internal work.　

4 times the air conditioning ducts had to be replaced. Attempted to make my house 1 zone when my contact stated 2. After multiple changes I now have 2 zones.　

Was promised interest free for 18 months. Found out the bank charged me 5 months interest up front. Sherman actually did cut me a check for that and I thought that was the end of the interest however I am being charged interest.

Jim Gansky lied about this and when the interest became an issue he told me there was nothing that can be done.　

The receptionist with her annoying voice used the excuse that they were on the phone or in a meeting and they would get back to me. After numerous calls I would finally get a answer which would be lies!!#

1 we had no heat for polar vortex

　Took 2 weeks to make band aid repairs.　

2 promised compleation by October 20.　

　 Actually complete February　

3 Promised 30% energy savings　

　Compared to last year I'm paying 45% more

　 From $280 a month balanced budget to $600

4 promised $36,000 in rebates 600 and tax credits

　 Only received the tax credits.　

　 Still owed $16,000 in rebates　

5 the rebates were the selling point which I never received.　

we are teaching my 6 year old about going green and with recycling after Geo was paid we were going Solar　

The by an Electric car. Unfortunately the rebate fraud is now delaying this plan.

I met with Thomas Hancock Jr on April 2nd and he promised me in front of Thomas Hancock Sr that they will do the right thing and make it right by drafting a contract stating they will pay me $1,500 Per month until the balance was reimbursed 　I received one $1,200 check on April 12th and never received another nor the promised documentation.　

After numerous emails and phone calls all resulting in broken promises I then elected to call consumer affairs.　

Another agreement we had was that they were going to make right by all the clients they wronged and I was shown a list of about 100 consumers. Which of course never happened

Going back to the rebates as per Nyserda one of the rebates expired 5 years ago and the remaining were never available for Geo Thermal.　

Stay away from these thieves although they may have lost their licenses in Nassau and Suffolk. Be wary of them using an employees licence or reopening under a different name.

I feel bad for the consumers who have nothing complete or half jobs. They have scamed a cancer victim, single mothers, retirees and families.

They also have not paid their employees in weeks.　

Fake reviews on yelp are the positive ones Kimberly O who i was told is Thomas Jr's wife and Nikki G from Levittown

On a final note. The Employees of this company cared about the consumer, Where The Hancock Owners cared about Cheating & Stealing From The Consumer.

The employees always stated how their hands were tied and it has come to my knowledge that they also have frauded their employees by not paying them since April and now filed for Chapter 11, scaring Illegal Immigrants who are actaully protected and their status cannot be used agaist them in this Labor dispute.Causing their employees to miss mortgage payments and rent which has the threat of eviction and a stress on these hard workers Families. if any of the employess who have left dont realize, there is a Department of Labor case going against them. I would rather see these poor hard working people paid before anything, and would hope all File with the Dept of Labor .
