Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We chose this moving company after extensive research into the background of several moving companies throughout the U S including the BBB and found only two resolved complaints against this company, Shiva transporter Inc located in Hollywood Florida. We even went to all the websites dedicated to Movers' Scams I and found nothing against this company.

I did as the BBB and other authorities recommended by contacting them way in advance in May asking them to come to our apartment for a more accurate quote, requesting a written estimate.

The end results were disastrous and after that we discovered that we were one of the many customers who had been deceived

- Three appointments were set to accurately estimate the weight of the remaining items; however they did not appear for any of the three appointments that they themselves set up.

- On July 28th they weighed the empty transport truck (15,260lbs) in Miami but they didn't give us receipt of this weighing. Then on August 14th they weighed another truck (21,480lbs) which supposedly contained only our stuff, in South Carolina. The second weighing, according to them, 18 days later revealed an excess of 2217 lbs over the estimated weight.

- In the contract they stated that we have the right to be present at the second weighing of the truck but after loading the truck they told us that they were not going to do it that night because they would place our belonging in a storage unit for a few days and we couldn't be present at the second weighing because we had already left Miami the next day.

- Once informed of the excess weight we immediately requested evidence of this excess amount in weight and a new bill in accordance with this.

- They repeatedly promised to send what we asked for but it was not until the driver came to return our property that we received a copy of the alleged excess in weight of the truck

- When the truck arrived to Madison we discovered that neither the truck nor the drivers were in any way affiliated with Shiva Transport Inc. but rather Midwest Van lines which is not a reputable company.

- When the movers arrived we demanded that the truck be weighed before (67,280lbs) and after unloading (63,060lbs) our property from the truck and the mover agreed. Before the truck could be unloaded however, the company required that we pay the amount due in cash.

- The second weighing revealed that we had only exceeded our estimate by 217lbs and not by the 2217lbs they charged us for.

- We have photographic evidence of the negligent manner in which our property was placed within the truck.

- After further investigation we discovered that the claim department consists of Joshua Lewis alone. Mr. Lewis gives you two options, one is to get your money returned to you immediately after the signing of the contract that states that you will not file any formal complaint against the company otherwise they throw paper work at you until you exceed the 90 day limit to retrieve your money thereby forfeiting the excess money paid to the company.

You may contact Mr. Lewis at the following:

- Anthem Claims Management 409 N. Citrus Canyon Trail Anthem, AZ 85086

Also uses this address: Anthem Claim Management LLC 2351 W. Memorial Court Anthem, Arizona 85086

Phone: (623) 551-3248

We would really appreciate any help that you can give us in getting back our money as soon as possible.

Sign their forms and file your complaints anyway after you get their payment. He'd have to convince a judge that your complaining, protected Free Speech, can be signed away for a deserved payment (extortion). Joshua Lewis is not a lawyer (he's not even an insurance agent), and that is NOT a non-disclosure agreement. Plus, do you think he'd take you to court over what little amount of money he gives you in insurance settlements? The time limit for insurance claims is 9 months, not 90 days.
