ShopMaxTV Pure StrikePure Golf Buyer Beware - golf balls are not free San Marcos, California 92078
Initially saw an ad on national TV watching a Pro-Golf tournament. Saw that the add stated that you could receive the Kick X Tour-Z golf balls free. Accessed the website and the site stated that there was a $.99 shipping charge. Never saw any "small print" that stated a $39.95 charge would appear on my credit card for the dozen golf balls that showed up. Additionally and what was odd was that the company placed a series of small charges (6) that did total $.99. I received the dozen golf balls and they appear to be a good product however the $39.95 charge did appear. Additionally this scam appears to be linked to an OnLine Golf Academy that, if I did nothing, would have sent golf instruction DVDs at a cost of up to $99. I also believe that ShopMaxTV would continue to auto-send a dozen golf balls a month and charge a continuous $39.95 if I did not take immediate action.
Buyer Beware - Did I miss the small print? Obviously. This is another scam that Americans are cheating Americans out of money. What is the answer? Suck up the first charge, after all how do you return used golf balls. Call your bank and cancel the credit/debit card so these unscrupulous companies can no longer charge your card they have on record.
