S&J Auto ripoffs in the refund department Saratoga Springs New York
I called in on April 9, 2004 and requested a quote for my 92 BMW 325I and the gentleman quoted me $150.00 plus s&h no problem with that so I gave him my credit card number and expected to have my part within 5 business days. I waited for this part anxiosly as my car was just sitting in front of my house for repair. I called up the tracking department after 10 days and the guy said he will call me back.
Well he did call me back saying that the original order taker made a mistake and the part was suppose to be for $350.00 not $150.00 like originally quoted. I refused the part for that amount and made sure my credit card was not charged. Well to my biggest surprise ever I was going thru old records today July 25, 2004! and I noticed that they charged my account for $163.50 and I was never credited!!!!!!!!! Why would they charge my account if the guy made a mistake????? Now they are telling me they will put in for my credit this afternoon and send me a fax for confirmation well its 5:30 PM and no one in the credit department now and I have no fax confirmation!!!
I wonder if I get a reply back from them saying if I have too much time on my hands ? My opinion is that they are thieves! Why didn't they credit my account knowing they never had the part even confirmed for shipping YET they charged me? I would never order anything from them ever again....They lost ANOTHER customer
