Skarp Technologies LLC Potential scam : deadline not kept, no communication, no answers Newport Beach California
Well, all of this started via a crowfunding campaign.
Some people proposed a revolutionnary razor, which was using laser technology.
The project owners zere very confident, started campaign in October 2015, and engaged themselves to deliver the product in March 2016.
I personnaly invested 169 USD, and thousands of other people believed in this (2779 to be precise). Amount collected reached half a million USD.

Initially, things went well, regular updates, all fin, and Skarp announced the creation of a secret facebook group to share exclusive content with bakers.
And then things went out of the rudder.
- The FB group had no exclusive content, same as on the crowfunding page and on the press, they then said it was only created for fun, but still kicked out everybody who talked about it
- During 4 months, complete silence : no update, no answer to questions (apart from saying "we work all the time, and do not take any vacations-->too bad the founder posted soon after pictures of him having fun in Las Vegas....)
- Then, an update...on an interview on the website CNET. Yes, you read right, they first informed journalists and later the backers. The update was simply telling that delivery would be delayed until end... of 2016.
- Since then, no real communication, no information, basically Skarp remains silent when we ask things like when a working prototype will be seen (one year after launch of campaign, we still have not seen anything)
- Their latest "update", 20 days ago, simply mentions that no delivery date has been set
To summarize : no updates, deliverw date missed by far, no answers, no prototype, and no delivery despite the written promise this product would be delivered in march 2016
No refund possible of course.
