During a late night Internet session on YMAIL I happened upon a Dr. Oz segment about skin care. Being in my 60s & starting to show more visible signs of age I decided to look at the site. There really was not much descriptive information on the site, but the product was a "trial" - they were careful not to disclose the real SCAM. When I attempted to complete my order for just the skin product another product populated the final

screen & did not allow you to complete the original order without tagging the 2nd product onto the first. A TOTAL SCAM! I received both products in approximately 10 days. The products arrived in a product box obviously made for both products & you pay for the processing of 2 products. Once I opened the packaging I noticed the term "14 day trial" on the shipping paper. I checked my form of payment & only the initial charges were there

- not concerned yet. I submitted an e-mail complaint to SKIN ROYALE. They immediately claimed ignorance about the EYE ROYALE being connected to the skin order, but honored my request for complete cancellation of any possible futher product shipments. I kept checking my form of payment over the following 2 weeks.

There wasn't anything special about either product, but before I had the products for a trial period I was charged another fee for almost $90.00 for the shipment of another bottle of the EYE ROYALE.

I went ballistic & called their Customer Service number for Skin Royale. They reported they were not the customer service for Eye Royale & gave me another phone number. I called that number & had a heated argument with "Hayley". Hayley claimed I agreed to their terms and conditions when I requested the "trial offer". I told her she was absolutely WRONG! The site does not ever take you to a terms & agreement page offering you the

opportunity to agree or disagree with the terms. She told me it ABSOLUTELY did & I agreed to the terms when I ordered the trial product. The conversation disintergrated into a profane shouting match & I hung up. Within 3 minutes I received a call back from "Hayley" requesting I speak with her regarding my request for the reversal of the amount I had been charged for another shipment. She informed me the conversation

may be recorded. I told her to record away & let's get to it. She again insisted I had agreed to the charges, which was a TOTAL LIE & I insisted she was mistaken. I told her I woud be contacting my payor to file a disputed charge complaint & she then began offering me gradually increasing discounts to continue receiving shipments. I said, "NO, I don't want anymore shipments"! She then attempted to sway my decision

based on "skin cream endorsed & used by celebrities". I again stated "NO, I don't want anymore shipments - PERIOD". She put me on hold under the guise of needing to speak with her supervisor. When she came back on the line she offered to cancel any futher shipment & to refund 100% of the 2nd charges associated with EYE ROYALE if I wouldn't file a disputed charges claim with my payor. I agreed & began checking my

refunds on the account. I received a full refund of the 2nd charges within 5 business days, but I did speak with an account manager. He told me to continue to monitor activity on the account & contact them if any additional charges were applied to my account, because all the company has to do is change the number of the product by 1 digit to repeat the charge to my account. H e offerd to cancel the account & reiisue it under a

different number. I've declined at this time, but if anymore charges are filed on the existing account I will have him do cancel & reissue. The really bad part about the whole ROYALE line of products is that if you try to find a physical address for either product it is almost impossible to find anything to connect them to a physical address. For all you know they could be selling fragranced bird poop. As a society we have become so

fixated on trying to appear younger that we will try anything & even more so if it is sold under the guise of a "legitimate" endorsement by a real professional such as Dr. Oz or Oprah.

The moral to the whole scheem is to be wary of any product that sounds to good to be true even if they get hawked on a TV info show. I think I'll just enjoy some good old fashion soap, water, & basic moisturizer. Continue on in aging process & appreciate the knowledge I accumulate.
