The dealer may also have lied but you sure did. Why did you go along with the suggestion to lie to the bank about your rent? As others have said -you signed the contract and knew what you were paying. If you knew you couldn't afford it why did you buy it? Your only recourse is to sell it (but of course since it is a GM car it is worth about two thirds of what you paid for it when you drive it out of the dealer's). The lesson learned is not to lie on a credit application.

You went along with lying about your rent. You went along with the payment amount. And now, you can't afford this car. Who signed the contract? If you had in mind how much you could afford, why did you agree with an amount over this limit? Incredible.

Steve-although you situation is unfortunate, why did you go into the dealership without knowing what you could afford? Yes, it is wrong what they fudged your records, but really, you should have known what your monthly budget would allow.
