I orderd a performance chip from this company in December 2010. After receiving it I decided I did not want to install this device in my car. I e-mailed them for a RA number to return it. They issued an RA number but with specific instructions not to use any service that would require a signature or they would refuse delivery. I gave them ample time to process it and have e-mailed them several times to ask for my refund. They refuse to reply or acknowledge me. I still have not been issued a refund and probably never will. These people are nothing but common crooks hiding behind an internet website. They should be shutdown and thrown in jail!

Offering a little refund help regarding SLR Motorsports

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, January 26, 2011

Like so many others, I got sucked into SLR Motorsports' too good to be true chip. I'll save you all the details, but I returned the chip 11/30 and have yet to hear a word from them.

If you ordered directly from the SLR Motorsports website, you should have received an order confirmation email from 2checkout.com, SLR's web transaction agent. Assuming you've returned the chip and have not received your refund, contact 2checkout.com directly at 614-921-2450. They were incredibly helpful. In order to issue you a credit for your purchase, you will need to provide 2checkout.com with the 10 digit order number and the tracking number of your return shipment (from USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc.). The tracking number is important. If you don't have one, 2checkout will contract SLR on your behalf and try to get them to contact you. When I gave them my tracking number, they issued an immediate refund.

While 2checkout is not really responsible for SLR's lack of morals, the way I see it is if they get enough requests for refunds, maybe they shut down the SLR account and put a crimp in their cash flow.

Best of luck.
