Smalley Shed Liars quoted a price multiple times then day of changed price Palm Bay Florida
We had our shed moved by them in the past. Went fine except for a couple things. They hit my fence causing very minor damage and they charged us for a permit we never received so I'm assuming they never pulled it.
Second time around we decide to use them again. They give us a price of $345 (with permit) my boyfriend points out the fact that the last time we never received a permit so they tell us they will knock off the permit fee and do it for $300. We agree and set up a date to move shed.
The day comes they dont knock on door to let us know they are here instead we here them out back they already have shed on the trailer. Boyfriend goes outside and Jay ****** says it will be 400 cash. My boyfriend says we were told $300. He says no 400. Boyfriend calls Smalley and talks to Jay's brother and he tells us he has no control over what his brother charges once he is out there (nice communication skills between the two) I'm livid boyfriend just wants the shed moved at this point and they already have it on the trailer anyway (how convienent for them)
So boyfriend says we only have $300 cash because that is the price we were told for the whole deal. Jay ******* says he'll take a check but that were not to make it out to Smalley Shed the company I'm dealing with were supposed to make it out to Jay ******* individually. I had a business and I'm pretty sure I have an idea of what someone is doing when they have you make the check out to them individually and not the business. Anyway long story short I would never recomment this company to anyone. Be warned anyone in Brevard county. They'll quote you one price and once they have your shed on their trailer give you another.
When he gets to where the shed is delivered he now states we owe him for sales tax and insurance costs. First of all it was a service there is no "sales tax" and second of all the con man already gave me a receipt stating that $400 was paid in full. Then he tells my boyfriend about how its not just for sales tax he pays his guys under the table and its for them and insurance. CROOKS.
