SMC Specialty Corp *Consumers Beware* Simi Valley California
My 81 y.o. father got scammed into ordering $7,000 worth of merchandise that was charged to his credit card. The company is very difficult to deal with in returning all of the unopened boxes that were sent to him. They want to charge him a 20% restocking fee along with the return shipping costs. He lives in Maine, the warehouse is in California. There are approximately 20 boxes that need to be returned. Not sure how much that is going to cost, but I do know that it is more than he can afford. They will not refund his $314.95 lifetime membership fee. Can you believe that they convinced him to get a lifetime membership at the age of 81???? That is so wrong. There must be a law protecting the elderly. If anyone knows of one, please help.
