Soflo Concepts are very unethical people, lie to you about timelines, lie to you about following through with repairs, and they completely destroy your car while performing very low quality work.

They are not licensed to perform the work they provide. They should be shut down so no one else gets scammed by these guys.

After reading through what I thought were real reviews online (now they seem to be all fake reviews) I decided to hire Soflo Concepts LLC to powdercoat my rims black and to hydrodip the inerior of my BMW X5. One of the owners, Bryan Bergstein promised that he could complete the work in 3-5 business days and that it would be great quality work.

I dropped off the X5 on 4/4 and was told it would be ready by 4/7 or 4/10. I called them on the 7th and they said one more day. Long story short, every day they kept telling me one more day. Finally on 4/18 I gave up and decided to stop by the shop to see what was really going on. Now i see why they kept delaying me. These guys completely destroyed the interior of my car. All four door panels where completely destroyed. The leather had rips, tears and scratches on each door panel. They poked a hole in the dashboard leather. They broke two interior trim pieces and they scratched like 6 other interior trim pieces.

I was in such shock i just wanted to take my car back but they wouldn't let me unless I paid them for destroying my car. It got to the point where I had to call the cops on them to get them to come to an agreement. They asked me to leave the car there for a couple more days so they can fix it. So, i did. Two days later I show up and absolutely nothing was done. They then begged me to give them another week. I did. They fixed most of the door panel damage but they still left me with 2 broken trim pieces and 6 scratched trim pieces. Additionally, the hydrodip it littered with dimple and waves and the powdercoat is a thin layer and you can still see the aluminum through the black. I dropped it off for 3 more days for them to fix it and they didn't. They lied to me and said that the people that do the rims at another shop have been out sick. This was a complete lie. All they were doing was doing a bunch of other new jobs before fixing mine.

They asked me to call them the folowing week to reschedule. After two days of calling and texting them, since they never replied, I decided to just let them know I would move forward with a lawsuit instead. They final texted me back and had the audacity to tell me I was being unreasonable. They said bring it in the following week for another 3 days and they will get to it because they are too backed up with other jobs right now.

 

Crazy considering all the cars they were working on came in after mine. Long story short. A 3-5 day job turned into 28 days in their shop. And in those 28 days I have a horrible powdercoat job on my rims, a horrible hydrodip job on my rims, and a bunch of damaged interior parts that need to be replaced. Now i need to hire another shop to fix all their damage and re-do the work I hired these con artists to to.

Bernard, you should have been a politician. Rather than taking repsonsibility for your company damaging my vehicle and dealing with the issues head on you instead attempt to slander me and continue to spew lies.

First off, you guys called me in to get my vehicle and said the work was done. At arrival, I saw all the damage and brought it to your attention. You guys agreed to fix it and said you will start working on it the next day as that will be your main focus. I came back the next day to check up on the repairs and that is when things got out of hand because you guys lied and hadn't even begun to do any repairs. From there I demanded my vehicle back and you guys didn't want to release it even though I offered to pay for the work that was actually completed. You guys didn't want to releas eit cause you wanted to try to force me to fix it through you guys so I don't sue you. Thats when the cops had to get involved in order for me to try to get my property back.

Additionally, you fail to mention how you guys quoted 3-5 day turn around and it took 28 days fro me to get my vehicle back and even then it was still damaged and the services rendered were of poor qulaity.

You also fail to mention that I left the vehicle for a week and a half for you to do your repairs. And then again for another 3 days for you to do your repairs. Yet, you still delieverd me with incomplete repairs, damage, and poor workmanship.

I was happy with the work you did after inspecting for 20 minutes? Never, this is such a lie. After 20 minutes of inspecting I found quite a few damaged pieces that still needed repair. In regards to the quality of the hydodip I specifically said it was much better that the first few attempts but was it goo - absolutely not. Me paying you is not an indication of satisfaction with your work. It's called giving up on you guys. After 28 days if you guys dont have the ability to make things right I will absolutely not be leaving it any longer... So again, that was me giving up knowing you would never be able to follow through on delivering the craftmanship that was promised. Also, I never notified you of damages the next day. I showed you on your property all of the interior damage, and I returned within 30 minutes on the same day when I noticed the very poor powdercoat job..

My hydrodip has clouds, waved, dimples, black touch up spots - it's horrible. I rate it in qualit a 3 out of 10. My powdercoat is very thin and you can see through the black on 3 out of th 4 wheels...

Also, when i dropped the vehicle off it was in perfect condition. The car went straight from the dealer directly to your shop. You guys damaged it. And no, the damage wasn't in spots that you guys didn;t work on. The damage was in spots that you guys SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN WORKING ON. I hired you to dip the interior trim. You only needed to pull out the trim to dip it. Instead you and your negligent employees decided to REMOVE ALL THE INETRIOR PANELS. By doing so you guys were notc areful and you ripped the leather paneling, poked holes in it, scratched it and so forth. Negligence.

Also, you blame the poor service on your new hires. Complete lie. When I brought the vehicle back 30 minutes fter taking deliver to show you that you could see through your powdercoat you tried blaming it on an employee. He called you out on it and said that it was your son and one of the owners Bryan that did the powdercoating. He is supposed to be one of the best guys there. So that speaks volumes. If the owner that has the most experience can;t even do it right how can you expect an new empoyee to learn right.

Now, in regards to your false accusations and slandering I do warn you I will not take false damage to my reputation lightly. I do not go around trying to enrich myself by scamming companies or insurance. If a company damages my property I will absolutely hold them accountable and sue them if need be such as I am in the process of doing with you sicne you destroyed my vehicle.

Also, in regards to the insurance situation. Its very simple. My car was in great condition when I dropped it off. It was in excellent condition. So if you guys didn;t damage it which has proven to be that you did, then it must have been vadalized in whoch case my insurance would have had to cover it - since thats wat I pay for and is covered in my policy.

As for the value of my vehicle, it very apparent that you guys don;t know how to pay attention to details, however, there is a major difference in an X1, X3 and X5. Also within the X5 class there are V6's, V8s and the X5M. And even from there there is a difference in 20k in interior options fully loaded. But, I'll digress. Not trying to take you to school on different classes of vehicles. Yet, regardless of price, you guys should treat all vehicles in your possesion with care - which you don't.

I have 30 complaints against companies - really? More lies. Please post the links. Its more like 6...

As far as me must not having a lot of clients cause I have so much time you are sorely mistaken. yet, it's very understandable because you will likely never reach this level. It's actually called being really succesful. You see, I did really really well in training my staff and also ensuring that my clients are all 100% staisfied. This has afforded me the ability to not really have to work since I have a very competent team in place that does that for me. In business, we call this converting your business into an asset. You my friend are still stuck in the stage where you are nothing more than another employee stucks working in the business. With the poor quality of work, your poor training skills, and your inability to follow through on your word and keep customers happy, you will undoubataley be stuck in that same position for a long time and will probably nver be able to convert your job into an asset as I have. It's unfortuate cause as you can see, it's typicaly great to have a lot of free time.

This report is indeed written by one of our clients, which we had an issue with.

He came in with a used BMW with current blue book value of $34000 NOT the $100,000 as he mentioned on this site.

We admit that two of our new employees, who started a week before he came  in our shop,  have made minor mistakes with dipping some interior panel pieces, and had two light spots on his powder coated wheels on his USED BMW ( found out later). This work was very new to the new employees.

When he saw the car not finished, he called the police on us when we refused to give him the car without any payment.  The police told him that they would jail him if he would try to drive away with the car.

Later he claimed, that some interior damage of his USED car he just had bought, we had caused and wanted to be made in whole.

Although we didn't do any work in the areas he claimed we damaged, we still went ahead and had it repaired the upholstery and seats scratches at our cost.

We wanted to make it right by re-doing the panels and repair damages to the interior, and he agreed to it.

A day later he came with his insurance representative/expert and tried to get the cost of the our entire bill, plus  a whole  new interior, plus fixing the entire exterior minor scratches ( repaint)  of a USED car paid by his insurance, stating; " that sombody other than our shop, had vandilized his entire interior and exterior while the car was parked outside on our lot".  This will already indicate what a scammer this person is who tried to get his BMW in mint condition after his recent purchase. We have the insurance expert name and contact number to back this up.

We re- dipped the panels for his interior and this client inspected the car inside and out  for 20 minutes , approved our work , claimed to be very pleased with the results and PAID his bill. !!!

Day later he notice the light spots on his powder coated wheels and this also we agreed to redo . We just had to schedule it in which he was ok with. We had some delays due to overload of other jobs and after one week of delay when we called him in , the client started on this vengence trip and tried to get credit for the paid bill.

Please NOTE; that this same guy wrote over 30 other negative reviews regarding different companies in the past months. eg regarding a gas station experience when the clerk told him ( a grown man) not to use the hover board inside the convenient store.

He claims to be a financial advisor and that he does legal stuff on the side ( claims he did in front of the police). I guess, He must not have a lot of clients when he has all this time to discredit other businesses and hard working owners, and tries to enrich himself by scamming his own insurance and other businesses.
