Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Bought a 2003 Honda accord . My first car on my own as I'm 18. They got me financed , found me a car. Told me it was inspected, safe, reliable and ready to go.. Four months later in stalls in the middle of the road. Thinking it was something simple I took it to my mechanic. Found out the timing had been off and I now needed a new engine. I did not buy this " as is" I bought it inspected good to go! I call Somersworth hyudai to see if they could help me out. They were so sorry , went and picked the car up from the garage , told me not to worry they would fix it or get me in another vehicle. Well they took full responsibility in the beginning saying the car should've never been sold. Five days later they decide sorry we are not fixing it. It's yours you own it. What?! I then asked that they just tow it back to my house , since they picked it from my garage. Shawn arnold the lead manager states. This is your car it's your responsibility you pick it up. I am now car less and still making payments!! Do not trust this place. They do not pre inspect the cars they sell. They also don't stand by thier word after the sale.

Fully inspected doesn't mean a thing. They probably inspected it for any visual defects like a leaking oil pan. Otherwise a car of this age is only going to have a warranty if you purchase one. It's a shame but it's not illegal. It's Caveat Emptor or Let the Buyer Beware

Either you have a WARRANTY or you don't! If you have a warranty what does it say? If you had a timing belt break then the warranty company could say this was a matter of non performance of maintenance because timing belts are supposed to be replaced on a regular basis. Who knows how long that timing belt had been in use. An inspection of a timing belt is generally not done because of the amount of work which needs to be done to get at it. In summary...it seems like you 're saying the timing belt broke. Unless the seller can document when that timing belt was last changed, the seller does not know when it was changed if ever. This service contract you refer to, exactly what does it cover and under what circumstances? Buying a used car with a timing belt is a huge risk UNLESS the seller can document for a fact the timing belt is not due or over due for a change.

This was sold from a hyandai dealership was not " as is" was fully inspected ..  Vehicles are inspected to the standards set by a particular dealer (not the vehicle manufacturer) and additional vehicle component protection is provided by a vehicle service contract, not a warranty. Repair is typically handled through the selling dealer. Other repair locations may be authorized by the dealer under whose certification the vehicle is sold. Compare the type of vehicle certification programs in the included table.

But then we all know Jim would perfer to make people feel worse. Troll, troll troll I would burn your bridge if you had one.

An inspected car can still throw or break a timing belt, and that is what happened here.

Sorry, not the dealers fault or responsiblity.

If you did not get a warranty, then you bought it. "As Is ". It doesn't matter how many inspections there are...if there's no warranty, it's an as is purchase and you are not ENTITLED to free warranty service. You would have signed a disclosure statement to that effect...did you read it? NO RIPOFF HERE
