Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I purchased a used truck from southwest ford, after taking delivery and driving the truck for over a month I noticed the driver door had been replaced from a door off of a older truck the vin number on the door doesn't match the vin on the dash and the cab had been repainted. I found evidence of orange peal and over spray. The truck also steers right which could be a sign of a bent frame. The dealership told me the truck had never been wrecked when I was purchasing it and did not disclose to me that in fact it had been wrecked, and had major paint and body work. On top of all this they charged me full kbb blue book value at purchase. I spoke with the gm manager and the owner mr

Gilchrist and I was given the run around with no reasonable solution other than something that would pad there pockets off of this car deal gone bad. Under Texas Law dealerships are suppose to disclose wrecked vehicles to consumers upon purchasing and this case falls in the category of the deceptive trade practice. I tried for over a week by messaging Andrew the used car sales manager to find a reasonable solution, he had his gm call me. This guy was arrogant and rude to me, I spent a lot of money at the dealership and put $12,000 down. I was treated very disrespectful especially for a valued customer. At last mr gilchrist called me and I was given the run around and

treated rudely. If I owned a dealership I would treat the customers with respect and be apologetic if I sold a wrecked vehicle and didn't disclose this to the customer. Everyone who works for mr gilchrist represents his business. I was lied to, and over charged for a vehicle I thought was all original pristine condition and never wrecked. I asked for an adjust to the sales price since the truck has been wrecked and has diminished value, I thought this seemed very reasonable, but mr gilchrist said no he would buy the truck back, not give me back my truck I traded in that I almost had paid off and wouldn't give me back my $12,000 I put down. He was willing to leave me stranded without a

vehicle or my money back. I would have lost half my down payment and wouldn't get my truck back I traded in because this used truck was financed. Also I would lose money on all the upgrades I just spent on this truck last week before I found out it had been wrecked. I offered mr gilchrist to refund me 5,000 for diminished value and he flat out refused. Honestly if I overcharged a customer for truck and lied about it being wrecked, I would do everything I could to make it right and show the customer that my dealership is honest and doesn't want to have a bad reputation for taking advantage of customers. Customers are the ppl at the end of the day who pay your bills

and afford you a great retirement. If you cheat enough customers eventually your reputation will expire and word WILL get out. I want a refund of 5,000 and sincere apology from mr gilchrist. Thanks Robert
