I purchased a SOYO "Cigar" Pro 64MB flash drive from Tiger Directs outlet store in Naperville, IL because it had a $27.99 rebate with it. I completed the rebate form properly and mailed it along with the required material on 4/20/04.

I purchased a SY-p4i865PE Plus Dragon 2 motherboard from Tiger Direct's outlet store in Naperville, IL because it had a $40.00 rebate. I mailed in the completed rebate form and the required material on 6/20/04.

on 12/05/04 I check at www.verifyrebate.com for the status of theese two item because they were well over due for payment. The flash drive shows a "postmark date" of 5/21/2004 and then has a date and time of 9/21/2004 12:07:34 and the word approved next to it.

The status of the rebate for the motherboard shows a "postmark date" of 7/30/2004 and a date and time of 10/22/2004 15:00:28 and the word approved next to it. I emailed Soyo at their suggested email address and received a reply asking me to wait 2-3 weeks for my checks. After 4 weeks, I had never received the checks so I sent another email and waited 1 week and sent a third. I havent received any kind of a reply for the second and third emails. I have also called the headquarters and supposedly was put thru to a voicemail box and left a message. I have called back three times and now no one answers the main number at all. I have called the Tigerdirect store once and left a message for the store manager who never returned my call.

I have sent in other rebates for other computer related products since either of these two items and have received checks for those other non-Soyo products. Soyo is the only rebates that havent been paid. I cant help but beleive that Soyo doesnt want to pay on the rebates. If there are issues then they should be communicating those thru there rebate website that they post on their forms. I will never buy a Soyo product again and have stopped buying anything from TigerDirect. Chance are I find something cheaper than they sell anyways.
