I JUST WANTED TO RESPOND TO ALL THOSE WHO WANT TO PUT SPRINT DOWN. I WORK FOR THE COMPANY AND HAVE FOR AWHILE. EVERYONE IS ALWAYS TRYING TO PUT SPRINT DOWN AND PLEASE KNOW THAT BASICALLY ANYBODY CAN ACTUALLY GET HIRED HERE. YOU GO THROUGH 6 WEEKS OF TRAINING AND THEN YOU ARE OFF TO TAKE PHONE CALLS FOR YOURSELF. THEY DO HAVE QUALITY ASSURANCE TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE DOING YOUR JOB CORRECTLY, BUT THEY DON'T TO EVERY PHONE CALL. I AM AN OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE REP JUST BECUASE I HAVE BEEN ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE CALL. WE CAN ONLY WORK WITH WHAT WE ARE GIVEN.THEY SHOULD OFFER BETTER TRAINING AND NOT HIRE JUST ANYBODY OFF OF THE STREETS. IF YOU DON'T HAVE PATIENCE, YOU SHOULD NOT WORK IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FIELD. LIKE EVERY PHONE COMPANY, SPRINT DOES DO EVERYTHING JUST TO BARELY GET BY. IT IS THE FCC THAT REGULATES THE COMPANIES, SO WE AS A NATION SHOULD STEP UP AND DEMAND BETTER QUALITY. AS FAR AS INDEPENDANT COMPANIES THAT WORK WITH SPRINT, IE RADIO SHACK, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. YOU KNOW YOU SET PEOPLE ON PLANS WHEN THEY DON'T REQUEST IT JUST TO GET CONMISSION. THAT IS CALLED SLAMMING AND CRAMMING. I SEE IT EVERYDAY AT MY JOB. PEOPLE CALL IN TICKED OFF BECAUSE THERE PHONE BILL IS UP IN THE HUNDREDS BECAUSE THEY WERE SET UP ON A PLAN THAT THEY DID NOT WANT, BUT YOU DO IT ANYWAYS. IT IS PEOPLE LIKE ME THAT HAVE TO SIT THERE AND LISTEN TO THE PUBLIC SAYING THEY ARE CALLING THE FCC, GOING TO KILL ME, AND GETTING A LAWYER TO SUE ME AND MY COMPANY. RADIO SHACK EVEN SETS UP KIDS,TEENAGERS,AND EVEN PEOPLE THAT DON'T EVEN LIVE WITH THE PEOPLE JUST TO GET YOUR COMISSION. SPRINT REPS HAVE TO CLEAN UP YOUR MESS ALL THE TIME. I work at Radio Shack and let me tell you first off that Sprint is designed for MAJOR cities and MAJOR highways, they don't have the coverage to get you what you want, so they offer cool phones, low deposits and good deals(in most cases). I don't like to sell Sprint, I would rather try to tell my customer that sometimes another cell phone carrier will work better in their area. As far as you thinking that it is Radio shack's fault, doubt it. Radio Shack is a partner with Sprint, but we can't just exchange the phone like its no big deal. We do have inventory to watch. I am not trying to sound rude or anything, but Sprint can't turn the power up and down, that would be illegal. Besides, your phone will only work where the towers do. And if Sprint doesn't pay another cell phone carrier to connect some calls for people, then their phones won't work at all. I mean, its not that hard to understand, its kind of like taking a loan from the bank, you borrow money first and then pay them back. That's what Sprint would have to do to use other service providers towers. So this issue you have with Sprint is just that, with Sprint. Radio Shack is just trying to help them out of DEBT!!!!!!! Not that it matters in their situation anyway, ya know.
