While we certainly appreciate the response, unfortunately there are several aspects of this response that are simply just an attempt to retaliate.
1. Ed Fisher has been retired from our company for some time, you would not have spoken to him at any point in time. I personally spoke to the owner of your company following this situation to attempt to understand the situation and to come to some resolution.
2. As far as our experience in moving high end vehicles we move thousands of vehicles per year and work with some of the most exclusive buyers and sellers of fine and collectible vehicles nationwide. What I would question is if there was any question as to our ability, experience or qualifications why would you have asked us to handle this move for you ? Clearly our ability was not in question then or now.
3. I did note that you did not deny the fact that the keys left your dealership without being programed, the driver did NOT leave a key in the ignition of the vehicle. What happened was that when he attempted to deliver the vehicle the key would not start the vehicle because it was not programed. The driver did not climb into the vehicle, this was done by AAA and they were not called by the driver or at the drivers request, this was the decision of the gentleman taking delivery of the vehicle.
4. Our understanding is that he returned the vehicle because he was unable to reach anyone at your dealership who could assist at the time of delivery or answer the necessary questions as to why the car would not start. He was further disappointed by the fact that your dealership allowed the vehicle to leave without confirming that ALL the keys had been programed.
The fact remains that you requested we broker transport of a vehicle which we did. The vehicle was picked up and delivered as agreed and now you refuse to pay the bill for the transport. We remain open to any discussion but will remain resolve in the fact that Fisher Shipping paid the trucking company for this transportation in good faith and expect your company to do the same. We would never refuse to pay a bill for service that was provided and hoped that your company does business the same way.
We are a very reputable company and are confident that any one who researches our history will find our reputation is stellar. Fisher Shipping remains hopeful that Mr Schmitt will reconsider his position and pay the money he owes us.

The complaint made is a very one sided account of a series of amateurish moves by this shipping company.
This company claims to have experience with exotic cars, but clearly they do not.
We have all (exotic car dealers) had trucking issues before, in 30 years in the franchised Rolls-Royce and Bentley business, this was the first and only time I found the need to refuse to pay.
The main reason is because the actions of this "broker" and the driver he "brokered" to us, ultimately cost my company tens of
thousands of dollars and a potential law suit. The problems started when the driver left the key in the ignition, which subsequently drained the battery.
Obviously the car left with the correct key, otherwise how could it have been driven on the truck. The spare keys were not related to the problems caused by the driver.
When the driver delivered the car, it would not start. Because he knew nothing of Aston Martins, he attempted to remove the back seat, in the truck to access the battery. Clambering through the window of the disabled new car.
The new "attorney" owner was horrified. As if that wasnt bad enough, the delivery that was promised on Saturday morning, was all taking place in suburban Dallas at 'Midnight"!! In plain view of the new owners and all their neighbors wondering what was going on.
The driver asked the owner to call triple A, because he could not get the Aston off his truck and had to be in another state the next day.
Ed Fisher the owner of the trucking company could not of cared less about the issue his representative caused us and our customer.
The client threatened to sue us if we didnt take the car back as the driver told him the car had "electrical issues".
My advice to anyone reading this, always do business with the actual trucking companies and steer clear of brokers like Ed Fisher and Fisher Transportation.
We ship around 200 cars a year and we have never had an issue this bad. I cannot believe Mr. Fisher chose to complain rather than apologize!
Consumer beware!!
