Statewide Funding Corporation Scam Loan Agency Washington District of Columbia
I filled out an online application and received a call from this company that I was approved for a 7500.00 loan but first had to pay $974.00 as an insurance policy in case something happened to me. They said the loan would be made through a private lender. I faxed over all the information they required.
I was on board with this until they sent me the instructions that I had to Western Union wire transfer the money to an individual in Canada. I then became very suspicous. I couldn't find anything bad on line or with the BBB about this company but I did some research on line and it said to NEVER give fees up front for a loan no matter how bad your credit situation is because this is a SCAM and you will never see a dime after you send the money
I then contacted my bank and put through a fraud alert so they could not access the money in my bank account and contacted them via fax to cancel the contract.
I guess what they say is true if it's too good to be true then it is
Buyer Beware, I'm glad I didn't get taken
