I received an unsolicited subscription to a magazine.  I emailed the companies subscription address and did an inquiry.  My name and address were illegally supplied to the company, but not my email address.  I contacted the company via email and received a reply 3 days later.

The company responded with the following: 

As requested, we have canceled the delivery of your issues.

Any refund or payment questions must be made to the independent sales agency from which your subscription was ordered.

If you would like to contact Subco directly, please call 800-258-3350.  If you should need further assistance, please be sure to include all previous e-mail correspondence.  Thank you for subscribing to ESPN The Magazine.

I then did an internet search to find out more information about Subco getting the internet address and reading that they are involved in magazine distribution.  I am concerned in that I did not subscribe for a magazine and I upon review I saw there was a cost for the subscription that if I did not pursue this fraud sale I might have been billed for the cost of the magazine and further complications.  This is possibly going to impact other seniors who are unaware of this scam.
