the first time i took my jeep to sullivan tire to have the heater core fixed,i had to bring it back three times to get it to run correctly.

the problem is,i was working so much i had to have my girlfriend drop it off,so she put everything under her name.It seems to me they tried to take advantage of the situation.

she brought the jeep back to me at work and as soon as she showed up i could see antifreeze dripping out of the bottom, she told me they told her,her "radiator was going".Apparently being psychic is a part of the job.

i climbed underneath and saw a hole in the bottom radiator hose,i replaced every hose in my jeep about two months earlier,i was later told by a friend of mine that it looked like someone poked something into the hose.An apparent attempt to milk more money out of my unsuspecting girlfriend.

The jeep was also running at 230 degrees, which is way too high, when i called and told them this, their excuse was,"that heater core has different specs." what a croc.

after paying $700 for a new heater core, you would expect to have no problems with the system, but i guess replacing a hose was too much to ask..even though all hoses were new and pressurizing the system would have exposed the hole, which i dont think they did either. How could you charge someone $700 and let them drive away with antifreeze coming out the motor. It was unbelievable.

We were new to the area and only knew of Sullivan Tire for engine work,so when my fuel pump went,i was "forced" to take it there again, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. So we had it towed there again,we were charged an outrageous $390-410 dollars for a fuel pump, they didnt even replace the fuel filter which i was later told by my new honest mechanic that it was totally clogged and appeared to be that way for a while.

He also informed me that only one piece was new on the existing fuel pump,so not only had i been charged for a brand new fuel pump, but they stuck the old one back in with a new piece on it,to make it work.again,ubelievable.

So exactly one day short of a year on the warranty, and 400 miles shy,the fuel pump broke again..if it had been a day later,i would be more furious than i am already, you shouldnt have to replace a part you paid $400 dollars for, less than a year later, its ridiculous.

I had to eat the $600 it cost me to replace the whole thing again, including the fuel filter this time, which should have been done anyway..and the original $400 for not having it done right the first time. That's $1000 for a fuel pump, thanks to sullivan tire.

I've called them and told them what happened, they said,i would have to ship it to them (which is costing me an additional $6) and they would ship it to the company who made the pump to fulfill the warranty. And that I pay for all the labor on the new pump, because labor isn't covered in the warranty, just the part.If it was done correctly the first time,i wouldn't have to pay anything.

So i've shipped it to them and am awaiting the response, which i'm sure will not be what i want to hear, which is FULL reimbursement for labor and parts. In Short,I'VE BEEN ROBBED BY SULLIVAN TIRE.

hey john,if you paid a total of $1000 dollars for a fuel pump you would be a little angry too..also i sent them the pump on the fifth and i havn't heard anything from anyone,if they care about customers so much, why havn't i been contacted? And if you're so happy with them, why are you an ex-employee?

you should call the corporate headquarters and discuss your greivance with someone. Sullivan Tire is very customer oriented and will help resolve your problem. I know from personal experience(employed for 12 years) they are honest and caring toward their customer base. Also,it isn't fair to negatively judge the whole company due to a bad experience at one location.
