I am not writing this report to blame these companies or anyone else for any failures, nor am I trying to attack Victory Promotions or any Granton Marketing/ Cydcor company. On the contrary, I think these are all great companies that offer a phenomenal opportunity, if you're cold-hearted, shady, decieving, and want to revolve your whole life arround a door to door "advertising/marketing" company. Also, I in no way feel taken advantage of by this company. It is my own fault for being a wide eyed, hungry, determined, hard working individual for sticking with the company for as long as I did.

Note: Don't take this as a plea to never interview with Victory Promotions, DC Advertising or any of these companies, or reasons I think you should leave the company if you have already gotten that far. I just wanted to share what I learned through my 10 month experience with Victory Promotions and hopefully open some people's eyes.

Starting with the begining of the deception and lies, in the news paper and internet ads they claim there are openings in sales & marketing, project management, and management departments. There's actually an opening in only one department, Door to Door coupon sales. Once you come in for the first round interview you might catch direct sales subtley mentioned along with a six-figure income in a years time, ownership opportunities and other pretty pictures. It's more of a repetitive sales pitch than an interview. They also use sales tactics like greed and Fear of Loss, making you think that if you are selected for a Day of "O" you are part of a very select few..... BS they'll hire just about any chump off the street.

After they get you in for a day of "O", the leaders/corporate trainers are told to "wrap the interviewee arround arround their finger within the first 5 seconds" then they are told to diminsh their resumees while reading them (Break or in Spiro's words "SHRED!" the interviewee).

After that ,if you don't catch all the bs and shadyness and stick arround until lunch, you will be fed another line of bs. The "lunch time breakdown". This paper claims that you will own your own business and be making 100k within a year. Later I found out my leader/metor had been going door to door for over 3 years and been promoted to assistant manager twice. It also says leaders make $600-750 a week. Lets break this down into real numbers:

-You make $10 per coupon sold

-on a good sales week for the avg leader you sell 10 aday/60/wk $600

-Leaders train about 3 people a week which are paid $50 out of their pocket which accounts for $150/wk+

-You share the profits on saturday with your team mate=$50

$400 a week

-As a leader its a standard to put in least 75hrs/wk

$5.33 an hour on a GOOD week.

If you had good weeks all year it would come up to a whole 20k a year.

Leaders are also told to explain that they get compensated for champaign management and managing road trips, which they themselves never were(in Spiro's office at least).

The only reason I left the company is because I couldn't see myself getting excited every morning to run a morning meeting, getting everyone excited to go door to door. Also I didn't whant to be trieing to sleep at night knowing that I'm running a shady door to door sales company that exploits bright young people for my own finanial gain.

This report could on and on. If this isn't enough deception, and lies you've read that go on behind the scenes, just copy and paste the same rebuttle on here Kate and I'll list more things.(by the way Kate, thats cute how you try to bring justice and defend your ex-boyfriend/boyfriend Tom's business)
