I bought a puppy from Sunset Training Center on April 25, 2013. The breeder told me the puppy would have papers a couple months after we brought the puppy home. Since we brought the puppy home, I have called the breeder every two weeks asking about the papers. Each time I call her, she comes up with an excuse on why she doesn’t have the papers ready. When we bought the puppy our contract and her website said she would have SV and American Kennel Club registration. I have been training my dog for a year and want to start competitions. My life is now on hold waiting to get the papers from my breeder. So I took matters into my own hands and contacted the AKC. I got notification in the mail yesterday that Claudia Haugh has been suspended from AKC privileges for life. Therefore, we can't register our puppy. Which also make competing with our puppy a little more challenging.

Hi I'm assuming your nancy, the other woman in question, while you are mighty quick to lawyer up and get defensive I spoke to claudia today and am granted full registration on my dog because she is outstanding and I will have hips/elbows as well as temperament tests done for the dog. Now, seems you can not read I said possible breeding under the breeders permission and guidance This is not random breedings to crap shoot dogs as Claudia herself wanted to use the dog Possibly to Dante. So no you are incorrect as far as I am concerned you are not the breeder you are a associate of hers that signs the paperwork. I also said I understand there's a lot on her shoulders but still, bad business for the most part. According to her they're late because of this nancy person not signing things and having other things in life happen. But unless you are Claudia you are not the breeder as I handed Claudia the 1500 for my dog not you. Like I said I have my crap in order, but your lawyering up says you have more to hide IMO you can not take us to court for expression opnions, disagreements and/or dislike for handling of clients. You simply get to not like it. Thanks! Btw I have dogs from Germany, Austria, Hungary & Czechoslovakia and have all of their paper work and AKC papers. Just saying? your not speaking to some idiot dog pet owner your speaking to a show handler as well as seller of police dogs.

I purchased a female german shepherd from Claudia on 10/19/12 DOB 7/15/12 for sport. protection and possible breeding. The issue is, is that I too do not have papers for my dog. I paid 1500 total for this dog with full intentions on competeing with this animal in Schutzhund, AKC rally among other things and IF she was OFA properly and came out with good hips/elbows and a clear DM test I wished to breed this dog under the breeders concent to breed her. I have been very consistant with asking for my dogs papers, nothing rude and have been nothing but polite, even helping her around the farm for a while during a heavy season for her, but every time I ask for the papers I get a excuse of how she has so much going on. My dog is now almost 2 years old and STILL no papers. I understand this woman has a lot on her shoulders but if I paid in full the amount for the dog I should have my papers by now. This is a very nice german shepherd, for a show line she excedes all my expectations in the working dog world and is a joy to have around but I am getting annoyed with not having papers. I have papers from my imported dogs 2 weeks after getting the dog but never 2 years. I would really like if you could tell me how to confirm Claudia's ban from the AKC and maybe I could figure out how to get some form of paperwork to use to compete with our dogs. This is exteremly frustrating as I do not enjoy being fooled and/or denied paperwork for my dog. She has very nice dogs that are well cared for but if the ban is indeed true I personally would like to know why and how to get papers on my dog.

First of all, the puppy was sold as "pet only" and because it turned out to be such an outstanding puppy, this person wants the papers in order to show it, totally understandable. Claudia is not the owner of the dogs in question and the papers are coming. As anyone knows, from Germany it ALWAYS takes time, also, since all puppies are placed on non breeding agreements to prevent indiscriminate breeding, and because of multiple situations that this person is well aware off, they are late. We are at fault for this, no question, but it is not our intention to rip anyone off. We have never dodged her phone calls, or treated her in any way that would be less than honest. It is too bad that this has happened but she will get her papers, Many papers were late, many have just been send out, to all our clients who were so kind and understanding during our bereavement and health issues, thank you! To all who send food, came to help, or were just there with their kindness and understanding- we will never be able to thank you enough.

As for the rest- an attorney will soon handle it.
