In June 2017 I called Sunshield Awnings to repair a retractable screen they installed. This particular screen has been a problem since they installed it. I also called for service since one of the other screens was getting stuck on the way down. It has now been 6 months and I have not been able to get someone out to my house to repair the screen and perform needed service. I spent almost $7000 on these screens and it is my biggest regret since I have not been able to use the screens as much as I would have liked.
I have called Sunshield Awnings many times since June and they keep telling me that I am on the "wait" list and someone will come out. I patiently waited a few weeks then called back and received same response. It got to the point where I was calling on a weekly basis. My key point of contact was Leslie, the receptionist. At one point, I spoke to the owner, Andy Echavaria, and he told me he would send someone out. We made an appointment for his people to come out on a Thursday. I took off of work that day. No one ever showed up or called. I lost a day worth of work to be home so they can repair the screen and I got nothing out of it. I am extremely frustrated.
I just called again this week and same excuse. They don't have the manpower needed for these repair calls. Their only focus is installations. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They should no longer be in business.
I recently researched this company online and found some bad reviews from customers in my same situation. It's unfortunate to see I am not alone.
