Surplus Outlet Center Stole my children's childhood Internet, Internet
I purchased a swingset from the website, Surplus Outlet Center. The website was very professional looking and even had a BBB endorsement linked to it. They were offering a savings of 30% from the normal price of a Gorilla Playset; I purchased it with a Green dot money pak as requested and the transaction was approved. Within 5 days I received a shipping order and stated I could track it through Fed-Ex once I received my URL tracking code. I never received it so decided to start doing some research. When I realized I could not use my personal email account because they had hacked into it, I realized I might have been scammed. I then found information that stated they were indeed a fraud and have done this type of "business" several times. They have since dismantled their website and have no way of tracking them. The IP address that shows on my email account is in Spain, so this must be an international team. When somebody requests you to enter the Green dot money pak number directly, know that it most likely is a fraud because most companies will want you to go through a pay pal account. This was a very hard lesson to learn; 850.00 later and most sadly-having to explain to my children that there is no swingset.
