I originally got their service on a 1 year contract. I was moving to residence for college, and it would be my only phone. Before I signed up for the service, i phone and made sure the area i was living it would have good service. i was GUARANTEED that i would have great service, as there was an airport with 3 towers nearby. SO wrong. every single call i made dropped. i managed to phone telus approximately 14 times, but only actually completed the call 6 times, due to the calls dropping. Everytime they made a 'ticket' and told me the issue would be looked into, and call in a few days. Everytime i called, i was told that the tech agents couldn't find my area. I re-stated my address every time, told them intersections, and the airport name nearby. FIVE TIMES i called back, and was told the same 'they can't find you' routine. i finally found out why. the geniuses at telus were looking for my address in a completely different city 2 hours away. Because of the issues, i was promised a $100 credit. I was told i can use this towards any phone bill i'd like. I ended up getting a new phone on a new contract, and called telus to receive my credit. I almost tore a strip off the guy when he told me that i would only receive the credit when i purchase a new phone, that i could not have it because i got the phone discounted since i got a contract. So in conclusion, sorry about the long rant, but i agree telus is CRAP. I called when my original contract was over to cancel, and the girl tried to sell me/bribe me into staying. i told her exactly why i would not, and hung up. coincidentally, on my next phone bill, i got the credit.

This person should wake up and take accountablility for their actions. Telus is a cellular phone carier not a manufacturer. You should have taken your phone back to the manufacturer as I have never heard of a piece of electronic equipment with less than a 2 month warranty. Also if you did sign a contract with Telus, maybe you should have read it as it clearly indicates that if you do not cancel at the end of the contract, they will assume you still want the service, SINCE YOU DID NOT CONTACT THEM TO LET THEM KNOW ANY DIFFERENT! Come on Canada let's not slip into the abyss that is USA thinking, "I will not be responsible for myself, let someone else take care of me".

I stand corrected, doing a web search; I now realize there is a Kitchener in BC, apparently some 20 miles west of Creston. Having lived in Kelowna for 2 years; I thought I would have realized that, apparently not.

Consumer might have a valid commecnt re: Telus Mobility; but it doesn't say much for commenter's credibility saying Kitchener, British Columbia. A Canadian should know better
