A few months ago to my surprise I saw a collection on my credit report from the mobile solution for $500. With research i found out this was from an account that i got at a kiosk in Jacksonville, FL a few years ago. The Rep at the Kiosk made and Error by giving me a family plan which i did not want. He told me that he had already activated them and if i wanted to just to bring the phones back in the morning to return them. He then proceeded to put the 2 boxes with the phones on the table.

I told him that i was not gonna touch those phones muchless bring them back the next day. I told him i wanted the one phone which was free and one account. He then told me to go ahead and sign the paperwork so that he could go ahead and process it, he said that for me to get the single account he needed to cancel this account, and that it wouldnt be any problems. He asked me if i wanted him to cancel the account or for me to do it myself. I told him that i wanted him to do whatever he needed to do to get my my account setup. I didnt not want to deal with cancelling something that i didnt order, it was his mistake and for him to cancel this. I told him i would wait but he said that he would need about half an hour or so for the phone activation to go through the system before he could cancel it. And that there would be no problems and this was normal.

I left the kiosk with one new phone in my hand. A month later after i received my bill from T-Mobile. i noticed that there were still 2 phone lines listed on my account. After explaining everything to tmobile that had happened they went ahead and cancelled the second nonused account and put me on the plan that i had originally requested without any penalties because of what had happened. I thought it was done and over until i checked my credit report with experian 2 years later for the first time and saw a collection for $500.

I called the collection agency that was listed on my credit report and they said that they had a signed contract from me that i had signed up for these two phone, Yes i did sign this but this was signed under false information from the rep at the kiosk.

Any advice to help me remedy this situation, i have requested proof from T-Mobile that this second account was never used and was cancelled by myself. And help would be appreciated

Call Your State's District Attorney's Office (Consumer Affairs)

#2Consumer Suggestion

Whatever you do, do NOT write the BBB. TMS gets those complaints constantly. This is from someone who HAS WORKED IN THE CORPORATE OFFICE in SAN DIEGO. Yes, from corporate. You have no idea of the amount of BBB complaints I have seen. I mean can you say LARGE STACK! What you need to do is to contact your state's District Attorney's Office and get the consumer affairs division. Call the department that can really help you get that removed. TMS has so many BBB complaints throughout the year that they might forget about yours or say they are settling the case and you still have a delay if they ever try to resolve it. P.S. I cannot believe all the people who have submitted about the company, but yet, they have no idea who the people at the corporate office are by first and last name nor can they really speak about what goes on with corporate when they are not the ones who've seen the paperwork of each and every store location, payroll of each and every employee, nor have no clue of how awful the customer service reps can get away with talking to customers over the phone.
