It all started when my mom decided to trust a customer Service Rep.who on the other line took her bank account info. Assured her that her account would be credited. Our house was being posted about everyweek for a month straight of Warnings that our house was going to be Foreclosed for non-payment.

Well the s****.

These mortgage companies are a bit one sided, do't you think

It's strange how there is always someone sticking up for these theives. It does'nt seem to matter that in most cases the company has either misled, posted payments late or in error, gave wrong information, or any wealth of mistakes. But you, oh no, you better not have any disaster happen to you because they are perfect and you are just another home they can steal. The courts and the government need to make it very difficult for these companies to steal American's homes. You know that big CEO of that mortgage company is sipping some drink at the good ole Country Club, don't ruin his day by reminding him that he just put another family on the street. We can afford to pay out billions to Corporate welfare but can't help people stay in their modest homes. Good luck to you but do not trust The Money Store, they recorded the deed wrong on my loan,?an error, I don't think so, they didn't try to foreclose the sold the loan to some other slug prime lender who did it for them. We didn't know they recorded the deed on the wrong piece of property until then. They say they own my house but I'm not leaving, I'm suing and others should do the same and make good case law.

Mortgage company suggestion

I don't have a specific company in mind because quite frankly I haven't had the best of luck with mortgage companies, but I would definitely suggest refinancing immdiately with someone other than the Money Store and going with someone who offers auto draft as a payment option. I like many others have experienced the hell of the Money Store supposedly not receiving mailed payments. After refinancing with another company I went with the auto draft payment plan because I can now prove that my payment was made and made on time. Also, many companies will let you schedule the payment on the last day of your grace period without penalty. And my Credit Union allows me to log on to my account and verify that my payment was drafted on the scheduled date. One other bit of advice. Check with a reputable asset protection specialist and start learning how to legally protect your assets and learn to play the game from the other side of the table. In other words if you ever do get into a difficult situation again make sure you make them go through financial hell to take your property. Since most of the rebuttals don't address the ethical or human decency argument but rather the legal, consider legally making it difficult if not impossible to pursue your home and assets. In other words fight fire with fire. They will think twice before spending thousands of dollars trying to penetrate a well structured asset protection plan. Of course the rebuttals will probably come out of the woodwork and say although your assets are legally protected it is your moral obligaton to pay them. Either way your damned if you do and damned if you don't. Anyway, I would look out after my own interests first because thats the way the game is played. Good luck!

Since my last statement I have some good news. We still have our house. I finally got through to this Company and I am now dealing with the VP of HomEq. We are still struggling with more rates added to having our house sold, but keeping communication with someone who knows about our account is better and she is helping with reversing the charges to our loan. All I have to say is not to give up. You need to fight for what is yours. We are looking into another mortage company. Does anybody have a good recommendation of a company?????

Like I said before, I am not an employee of this company, but from what I have read (even from a one sided perspective like yours)...the company seems to be in the right...the company has no obligation to take these matters you stae into consideration, because you made a promise (a legal, binding contract) which stated that you would pay on the due date...maybe you should take responsibilty for your own actions, rather than blaming a company.

I am glad someone from the Co. decided to comment. Just to refresh you with this story is that all payments since our contract were paid on timely fashion except for this time coming with the holiday that interferred with the payday, that should not give you the right to sell our house for things that are beyond our control. Unless you are in a single person's shoes who has to live paycheck by paycheck a day or two does matter so Co. like this should take things like this into consideration. Thanks for comment though.

I'm sorry that you are dealing with this....but you said yourself that the payments were not being made...I used to work in the mortgage industry, and have to say that, if you want to keep your home...follow the contract..and pay on time.
