I put a non-refundable deposit of $500 on a puppy with The Royal German Shepherds in February 2013. The owners at the time were Elizabeth and James Himebaugh. Supposedly their 4 yr. old female Xena was to go into heat for breeding in April 2013. Elizabeth said she tried 2 times in April and Xena did not get pregnant. No contact from the HImebaughs as to this except when we contacted them. Then Xena was to go into heat in October 2013. After contacting Elizabeth in November she said Xena did not get pregnant again and now they have a 5 month old new female “Neveah” that they will attempt to breed next August 2014. I have requested my deposit back but, because it is non-refundable Elizabeth denied my refund request. We are 7th on the waiting list so who knows how many people are waiting for these puppies that may come to fruition almost 20 months or more after a good faith deposit was made.
Elizabeth and husband separated and now Elizabeth and boyfriend show on their website as owners under Elizabeth Pullins and Jason Bayless. These are not the owners per the Oregon business license registry.
I seriously question whether there will ever be puppies but for us waiting 18 months to 2 years for a companion is just unacceptable. Elizabeth and her husband James visited our home and brought 2 dogs for us to meet. The Himebaughs seemed like nice people and we in good faith made the error of paying them $500 cash. We have since learned never to do this again. We have found a reputable breeder and am happy to report we have adopted a beautiful shepherd pup. The money was a big loss but, the worst was hoping in good faith for this breeder to have a puppy for us and now knowing that was probably never going to happen due the demise of the marriage and her shady business practices.
Elizabeth was recently arrested, I found this by accident “Googling” her name to see if there were other complaints on this breeder.
. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau also.

Janet McMinnville, OR My complaint is still valid, still no puppies to date. Thank you for reregistering with the state of Oregon. And for your rebuttal. I believe I have all the information I need to collect my $500 from you. I will continue to alert the public to your scam by every means possible. Getting ripped off of not only $500 but a loving puppy companion makes people ugly at times. There was no ugliness clause in our contract.

My name is Elizabeth Pullins, I am the person spoken about in the allegation. Some of the information in the allegation is true but there is also incorrect information.
I am registered with the State of Oregon, reg #1099809-95.
It is true that my then husband, James Himebaugh, and I visited the individual with two German Shepherd Dogs and signed a binding contract that entitled her to a German Shepherd puppy with a non refundable deposit of $500 upon successful breeding of my then dam, Xena.
After several unsuccessful attempts of trying to breed Xena, she was untimately retired. Not only was the website that shows my breeding updated but all paperwork was also retained. Notifications were sent out to all people that were on the waiting list as well. After updating the website with the information with my new female, Nevaeh, the individual contacted my boyfriend, Jason, who is a part owner of the organization, very upset.
Paperwork showing all tries of impregnating Xena were offered as proof to the individual as well as the Veterinarian name and phone number, but were not accepted.
The individual signed a binding contract, which did include a non-refundable deposit.
Because of the way that the individual carried themselves through this process and the ugly side of themselves that was shown, we are not upset that they broke the contract because a Royal puppy deserves not only a Forever Home but a Royal owner.
