Richard kicked the groom's family out after the wedding weekend to make room for another wedding he scheduled without telling us even though we rented to rooms for another night. Additionally, he let that wedding party use our equipment (chairs/tent/full bar)and is trying to make us pay for it. Prior to the other wedding (after we found out) he had told us in no uncertain terms that the other wedding party would not be using our tent and chairs. To date, he continues to deny that he did anything wrong. This coming from a man who is an lawyer. Of all people, he should understand the value of a contract. If you ever consider having an event at the Demonbreun House, DO NOT DO IT!!

Also, he falsely advertises his property. The pool and hot tub are dirty. There is a large and dirty german shepherd that roams the grounds. Not all rooms have fireplaces and he uses closet space in the rooms for his personal clothing. Lastly, not all rooms have their own bathroom, instead you will find yourself sharing.

I am Richard Demonbreu, the owner and manager of The Timothy Demonbreun House. I also practice law here in Nashville and became aware of this rediculous complaint when a current customer called it to my attention on your site. These people signed a contract to use my lovely home for a two-day weekend ending at noon on Sunday and they received exactly what they were promised and paid for. They had also rented a large tent and chairs which they used for Friday and Saturday night, and they decided to leave them on my property through the Memorial Day weekend including Monday so it would be picked up on Tuesday. They saved an extra pickup fee that way. I had another wedding planned that Sunday night well after these kind people were to have left my venue. When these guests found out that someone else was going to use the driveway of my home for their event and would benefit from the tent being over their heads they started tearing down the decorations which they had used and acted like idiots, even to the point of requiring me to call the Nashville police department after they began disrupting the setup for the next wedding. The police then came and required them to leave by threat of incarceration. I hope that you will post this so the truth will be known. I would also like to ask that you remove this entire complaint and that in the future you notify a business owner when a complaint is filed so he or she can immediately respond to this kind of thing. Thank you.
