We are having the identical problems to the above writer (Steve) on 2 separate Soyo Computer rebates. Both rebates were submitted absolutely correctly in an identical manner and within the time frame permitted. Both were acknwledged and formally accepted by On-Rebate by return e-mails which we have copies of. Both were due to be received at our location on September 30, 2004. In the case of one rebate On-Rebates website indicated they processed a cheque on October 30, 2004, in the case of the second On-Rebate has not processed a cheque and is now claiming they have not received the required invoice and UPC (after acknowledging in writing that they did receive it by e-mail!). It is now November 14, 2004 and neither rebate has been received. (We sent a copy of the invoice and UPC code to them again to an address they recommended and we have received no acknowledgement from them after 3 weeks.) We contacted On-Rebates customer service lady and she says "we are behind in mailing cheques" in one case and she can't explain the other case at all. We have contacted customer service rep. Dave Page at TigerDirect.ca and he indicated in our conversation that he will contact On-Rebate and resolve the issue or that "TigerDirect.ca will have to make the rebates good". Guess we will see... We did not make any mistakes! On-Rebate just is not paying rebates on time! We took screen shots of someone changing the terms of the Soyo rebate as well as moving webpages around almost daily on the rebate claim website thoughout the computer promotion. These actions were definitely designed to create confusion and attempt to avoid both payment and prosecution if authorities come calling. At the end of the day TigerDirect.ca took our money and will have to be responsible so we will see what happens. It will certainly be our intention to instruct our credit card company to reverse the charge if satisfaction is not ultimately forthcoming. Regretfully, if we have to resort to this we will keep the computers as liquidated damages for our wasted time. Other customers should co-operate fully with Tiger but ultimately should do the same. Sincerely K.Wright Vancouver BC Canada (representing 2 separate families purchasing Soyo Computers on a rebate promotion. i.e. we know for a fact how 2 separate families have not received rebates!)
