I have had a much better experience with Onrebate than most of the folks i read about here. I found it not much more difficult to deal with them than it was to register for this site and to reply as i am doing so now. Here are some tips for all you nice rebaters and consumers out there like myself- All rebates are prone to some complications because that is the nature of it unless they are paid instantly or handled directly by the store such as some of STAPLES stores rebates. Congratulations to STAPLES!!! That being said, if you have repeated difficulty with particular rebate service(s) than it is not for you and you should avoid that one. I have had only a mostly positive experience with ONREBATE although I think they can and should do even better. I particularly like the 'no cost' paypal option. Problems are often more related to the seller Tigerdirect for not clearly explaining things on their website. They offer extremely low prices because sales is all they care about quite obviously, but we must become somewhat skilled at the rebate process if we are to succeed at what is really after all a sales game. Radio Shack advertises ONREBATE rebates on their website but is much clearer for the most part. Back to my tips- get used to a particular rebate company's procedures and follow the instructions completely and be prepared to spend the needed time, considerable in most cases. Most rebates need to be signed, look carefully. Realize in advance you must be computer literate and have a good working printer, preferably a laser one. Also know that the entire process costs some money and lots of time. Consider purchasing no rebate items. Tigerdirect and most other vendors offer these on sale but not as outrageously low cost as the ones with rebates. Avoid multiple rebate offer items if you have had difficulties sending everything in before. Always keep copies of your submission. Call on the phone and speak with someone if there's a problem. Never depend on emailing, you must call Onrebate or others. If a useless person answers ask nicely for someone else or call back later. Phone number is always somewhere on the company's website, usually linked with- 'contact us' or similar. Look carefully. Retain packaging in your garage or attic for several months, you may need it for a serial number or a upc. I have many times. Again, have had a good experience with Onrebate over dozens of submissions and like them better than most other rebate companies i have dealt with over several recent years. Officemax as an example, routinely denies almost all rebates and must be called and then mysteriously honors the rebate at that point. I have only had to call onrebate twice in three years so feeling blessed.

Dear Peter, I sincerely apologize if you have been having trouble with the fax number I provided you. I have been receiving faxes from other customers to that same number. Please contact me again and I will gladly provide an alternate fax number. You may also send scanned copies to nadina.urdanetaATonrebate.com

having written to rip-off report, i was pleased to see the message from jolvin cuadrado of onrebate.com saying that i could write to nadina urdaneta to get my problem resolved. i emailed her and was promptly rewarded with a reply saying that, even tho my rebate was VERY LATE, she would go ahead and approve it if i were to fax her copies of the rebate form, invoice and barcode. i duly attempted to do this, but guess what? the fax number she sent me does not answer! are we surprised? it's like these people can't help themselves -- they've just got to stall under any and all circumstances. geez!
