Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Bought a bundle (Azend Envizen 7" tablet & Total Defense Premium internet security software) in Sept., 2013, and submitted rebate forms on 9-27-13. Got $10 rebate ok ref. the tablet, but have had terribly frustrating experiences trying to get $60 rebate ref. the Total Defense software. Since I had ordered online, I did not have an "invoice", so mailed "Packing slip" instead. The rebate was denied, so I requested a copy of an invoice from Tiger Direct, and when I received it, I forwarded the copy on 11-1-13.  When I had gotten the tablet and software, I THOUGHT I had activated the software on the tablet, but since the tablet has no CD drive, I had downloaded the Total Defense software onto the tablet from the Total Defense website.

I guess it didn't work, because the rebate center told me in Dec., 2013, that they do not show the software as having been activated. I loaded the Total Defense software on my laptop on 12/2/2013, and activated it. When I called the rebate center back each of the next two days, a lady there named "Redrose" told me she could not verify the activation, and transferred me over to what she called the "Total Defense Escalation Team".....but twice on each of the next two days (12/3 & 12/4/2013) Redrose transferred me and each time I was on hold for over 30 minutes, and no one ever answered.

I am usually very persistent and do not give up easily on such matters, because I think many companies are counting on you not jumping thru enough hoops, and giving up, without ever getting their rebates. I think this is TigerDirect's policy, too.

I find incredibly long waits for their Customer Service lines. I got thru today to a Hana at800-286-9146. She said fill out a form under TigerDirect.com's "help" tab at the upper right corner of their home page. I filled out a form for "Rebate Assurance Policy".  I'm about to give up. If this final step doesn't result in my satisfaction. I will un-subscribe to TigerDirect.com's daily sales emails.

Regardless, I would advise anyone to be very wary of TigerDirect "deals" that involve rebates. It just isn't worth the hassle and frustration.
