I too am an client or by the end of today probably an ex-client. I have always finished the jobs assigned to me by Today's Staffing but this last job didn't fit me. The job description given to me by the recruiter at Today's wasn't exactly truthful. The job was at Capital One Auto Finance. I was told after I arrived for training that the job was for a Funding Analyst which I found out entails alot of fast paced work with doing out- bound calling and supervisors walking around and listening and critiquing your calls plus I would have had to solve problems without hurting our integrity. I didn't realize what the job would be like and alot of times you don't until you start it so I called Ruben, the recruiter and told him that the trainees had been told this was an evaluation period and if we felt we were not comfortable with the job to call our recruiter and let them know. I did and Ruben's attitude wasn't very nice but then everyone at this place acts rude, they interrupt you when you try to explain any problems you may have with the job. They tell you to let them know about the jobs but they only want to hear good things. In response to the person in the previous rebuttal, yes there are more agencies but if they get in touch with Today's for a reference, you take the chance of being turned down for future jobs if you choose to list them on your resume and sometimes you need to list that experience for another job. I wouldn't recommend them. This business used to have a good staff but not anymore. They treat you as if you are desperate for their help and act as if you are taking up their precious time. You can also find jobs in the classifieds. These agencies are helpful but they need to be more respectful of their client's feelings. I worked at Countrywide Home Loans thru Today's and was very conscious of my attendance and professional attitude in hopes of being hired on permanently. There was also another woman that went thru them and she the only time I saw her attend a full week of work was after Thanksgiving. Guess what, she got hired on and I was left out in the cold. But then, she used to be HR for Today's. Today's is a rip off in their professionalism.

I wish I had read these comments before I wasted my time interviewing with Todays Staffing. What a horrible experience! After a few minutes into my initial interview with the recruiter it was obvious that Today Staffing's is only interested in selling a superficial package to their clients without regard to a candidate's accomplishments or what is a good match for the potential employer. It was apparent to me that they just want to get a body to the potential employer who can FAKE it enough to get the offer. They don't care about the potential employer or the candidate they just want their commission. WHAT A RIP OFF! I was never asked about my work history or accomplishments during the interview; I was only told what to wear and what my resume should look like. Being a seasoned professional and having been employed by some of the largest corporations in the world, I know how to dress, act and format my resume. I find this business practices wholly unethical. I was appalled by the recruiter's lack of professionalism and rudeness. My best advice to any person that reads this is to boycott Todays Staffing.

Today's staffing has very unethical employees working for them as client reps. They don't care about the temps at all. They don't follow up and return your calls. They record false and inaccurate information about you. Quite often the client they send you to is wrong or have bad employee practices. When you make them aware of this, they apologize to the client and "punish" you. A rep actually yelled at me over the phone and accused me of all sorts of things. When I tried to respond, she just yelled louder. And yet she said that I was unprofessional. This has never happened to me before arriving at Today's Staffing and I have been working for over 20 years. Sure there are numerous agencies out there, but when you are looking for employment and you sign up with an agency, you expect to be treated fairly and professionally. This must be universal practice for Today's Staffing. I live in Michigan. I have spoken to at least seven other people who have worked through this agency. Some of their stories are even worse. A temp agency shouldn't only try to make the "sell" to the client. They should not treat the temps as disposable people. I am currently going through a terrible experience with Today's. You would not believe what has happened. After making some inquiries, my attorney has found several temps who like to pursue this further. Enough to say that I have filed a law suit! One person that I have spoken to is filing as well as reporting Today's to every corrective agency possible. Enough is enough. And your response was quite disrespectful and harmful. The agency has to be held accountable for something. We earn money for them as well as ourselves and we put up with a lot.

I don't understand how a staffing company can be a ripoff, especially in the situation you present. I don't believe you paid for their services, usually the place you end up working at pays the fees for the agency. The only loss you incurred was a little time to coming in to meet with the staffing manager and takeing a few tests...maybe 2 hours worth. You know, there are many other agencies that can assist you in your employment needs right here in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Denton/Collin county area. You have not been black listed from all of them, and the employer you missed the interview with is not the only place to work around here. It is Today's loss not yours. You should be using more than 1 agency and allow them to work against each other. Many times, they just pick up ads of the Internet or newspapers or the companies looking for workers contract with multiple staffing agencies. Use this to your advantage to get the most money and benefits.
