I bought a brand new Toshiba laptop during 2010, and within 6 months, THE POWER BUTTON HAD STOPPED WORKING. The power button could not power up the laptop for no reason at all. I called them and they repaired it since l was still within the one year warranty period. When they sent it back, they never gave me any explanation for that cause.

THE T1 LAPTOP HEATS UP REALLY BAD!, and they claimed to have fixed in the BIOS software. The heating never stopped, but got worse, and again after a few months the power button could not power up the laptop.
When I called them again, they said they DID NOT HAVE A PERMANENT SOLUTION, AND HAVE NO EXPLANATION FOR THIS, and this time they were charging me for the repairs. THEY INFORMED ME THIS TYPE WAS RECALLED, AND THEY COULD NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE.

I WAS CHARGED FOR THE SECOND TIME I CALLED IN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, and their customer service said they CANNOT PROMISE THAT IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.

Off course at this point I cannot spend  any money Toshiba machine because of this bad experience. To me all Toshiba stuff is trashy. I DISCOURAGE EVERYONE FROM BUYING TOSHIBA MACHINES. THEY WILL NOT OWN UP TO THEIR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS, AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!!!! They have devised ways of making money off customer, by making you call in for repairs of defective products made from their manufacturing plants.
