Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I paid for 72 months on a 19,000 dollar loan of 463.30 per month. I paid over 33,000 dollars for my Honda. I understood that I was a financial risk, not do to error of my own. I understood but.... I was at about 2,000 dollar balance and offered a settlement payoff of 1200.00 and they accepted and sent a letter stating that if I paid that by the 31st of Oct ....well then they put stipulations on me the day before that it would have to be paid by debit card only. Well, I work out of town and when I told them then it would be Friday Nov 6th would I still have the same payoff / deal? The account manager Mya said she would check with her manager , Tim and he agreed. Now, during this week was when Triad was to be no more. Now Santander, and those people I was talking with, they say are no longer there. Santander wants and additional 401.00 because they say I didn't pay on the 31st. I was told by Mya that I would receive my title within 7 -10 days. Now here it is the end of November and I am getting collection calls daily from "Santander" wanting more money. They will not send my title until I pay this amount, that I do not have. I had to borrow the payoff amount from my father in law to make the deal.

The people are vague, wont give you extension numbers, last names of who you are speaking with, and they are rude. Threatening me with they can pick up my car if this isn't paid.

They called me during church this past Sunday. Thank goodness I had turned it off. I returned the call later to find this information out...........picking up my car ............well come on! I am livid. I hate this company and so does half of America and they should be put out of business.

may be a rip off but

Seems that just about everyone complaining about Road Loans and what ever the other names are, that you don't pay on time. Yes it is a rip off on all the interest having to be paid. But we(me too) are in this high interest scam because we didn't keep our credit good. I had a repo plus a lot of other problems because I just couldn't pay or didn't not pay or was late. I had a voluntary repo because the car was a big lemon. But who cares. I have a report, owing a balance to a side road financial co again in TX (I am in KY) because the GAP insurance did not pay the loan off as it was suppose to. The car was totaled after the 2 nd payment. Ins paid it off but GAP did not pay in full.

What I want to say it is our own faults we have to use this type of company because of our neglect or not caring if we pay late or at all. So until a loan is paid in good standards and a good report is made to credit bureaus we have to go by there rules. Pay on time or early. My credit shows I paid off 3 vehicle all over 20,000. But my credit is bad from 2 other cars and other things. I am 65 and have to have a car to last me and have to pay what is given me. At least the 18% is less than my last 3 cars. It was over 20%.  Don't get what you cant afford either.
