Guess I'm another of a long list of victims of Tristar Products and their Pasta Pot. Mine arrived safe and sound (after 2 months) however just as others have documented, the large pot is so thin on the bottom that it "jumps" around the stove when you try to use it to boil water. The lid doesn't fit properly either. It locks on but doesn't come off without major effort (which could cause injury if you COULD boil water in the darn thing!)

Live and learn, huh? I sure hope Tristar is happy with all the ill-gotten money they've collected from customers who have to throw the merchandize in the garbage.

Don't buy anything you see on tv

I work for a call center that takes orders for these infomercial products. Almost always, they never seem to work. Everytime a new "As Seen On Tv" product is launched, I wonder what the catch is. Fast Abs burned people. The Flat Hose didn't work unless fully unrolled. The Pancake Maker was a piece of cheap junk. Etc. My advice is "let the buyer beware". "If it is too good to be true, it probably is". Most of the items can be purchased at the store within months of their "not available in stores" debut. Coincidently, that is the amount of time that it takes you to get the product if you order it from TV. Save yourself a shipping and handling fee, save yourself from the risk of being signed up for MWI Essentials, Galleria, etc. Simply wait until the product is available at the store!! That is, if you really want this junk. By the time it is available at the stores, you'll know about the flaws and catches associated with the product.

I got them to credit me in one day. I was persistant, and managed to get them to credit my account.

I had the same problem. If you keep reading these posts, you will find that other people also had the same problem with lids that do not fit, that get stuck. I was persistant, and managed to get them to credit my account. They wanted me to wait for a return lable, but I let them know via e-mail that the rotten food still in the pot after a few days was smelling rotten, and I was forced to throw the pot away. Know what? They still credited me the full amount of $27.93, even though I did not send anything back. If you keep reading other posts, you will find the e-mails of some people at Tristar, and their web address and their actual address as to where their corporate office is located. A "live" person to talk to (and this is who credited my account) is Gwen James. She is at 973-575-5400 ext 12; but don't wait too long - I hear they are constantly moving and changing their phone numbers!! Good luck.
