This is a good tale of woe.

I submitted a letter of dispute on two tradlines along with a letter from each the originating creditor stating the trade line should be deleted. Trans Union replied to my letter with a standard form indicating they investigated the disputed issue and found substantiating information that superceded the letter from the creditor.

Well, this made no sense to me so I sent follow up letters requesting what information they needed and why the documentation from the originating creditor isn't valid. One every 30 days for a solid year.

Now, although blonde, not too dumb because I kept following up with the originating creditor who now thinks I am insane and I have multiple letters indicating hte instructed Trans Union to delete the trade line. The FTC has no backbone, and a lawyer asked for a retainer I can't afford to pay to bring them to court.

So eventually I call Trans Union and complain about their haphazard responses to the documentation provided. No surprise when the guy tells me they never received any correspondence from me. So I get a physical mailing address and send it Fed Ex so I have a signature on file proving they got the paperwork.

Now I get a letter stating the trade line was already investigated and they won't investigate again.

I of course call and complain. I'm told they labeled me a "troublemaker" because I was overly diligent in following up and riding their back to comply with the FCRA. They said will never investigate a claim unless I pay for it.

It is now I am told that if I pay $9.95 a month minimum for True Credit, I would get unlimited credit reports I could pull on line and I would have a "priority" status in rectifying all the errors on my CRA and that I would have the opportunity to conduct 3-way calls with the creditor(s) who are allegedly providing the false information.

So I authorize the service. I get the originating creditor on the line and the dispute department on the line and the creditor is telling the Trans Union Rep that they have requested the trade line be deleted because it doesn't belong to me and ownership can not be subtanstiated. The first creditor says they can not confirm identity, and the second creditor tells them my social is nowhere in their system (for a car loan) and I never had a loan with them. The car people said their records maintaining prior customer credit status goes back 20 years and I am not listed as being a customer.

Well Trans Union gets angry at the 3-way calls and I am told by the dedicated service rep in the fraud department, Lynette Fullwood that she doesn't have time for my "s**t" and slams down the phone. I call her back and read her the riot act for the prafanity and I remind her I am now paying for this service and she will comply. I demanded her supervisor. Now, Lynette says she is the supervisor and I can't beleive for a New York Minute that she doesn't have a boss and there is no one higher up the foodchain.

Now in the meantime, Trans Union is providing my personal information to companies I don't know and have not authorized to receive my personal information.

I start digging and learn Trans Union defrauded me. I don't have to pay for these services and as far as protecting my identity, there are other third party services for the same cost that work with all three credit reporting agencies to protect your identity and provide ID theft insurance.

So I call immediately in October 2007 to cancel the service. I remove my credit card information from my on-line profile. They re-entered the information without my persmission onto my profile and continued billing. Every month I cancel and every month, they refuse to accept cancellation.

Ben, with True Credit, who alleges he is the head honcho with no bosses or supervisors above him threatened that if I canceled he will tell my bank to close my credit card and ATM card they have on file.

I called the bank and he can't do that, but they also said the only way to stop true credit is to get all new account numbers. Both banks will charge a $25 fee to do this.

Writing to the Attorney General's office to try to get a better solution.

Trans Union - Class Action

The very dispute listed here was the result of a class action. Unfortunately their "reimbursment" is 3 months free service. Not a mess I would never want to get into. On the disregarded disputes, falsification of information on my credit report, and failire to provide a copy of my credit report is ongoing. However, I found legal counsel working on contingency through forums such as this and they have stepped up to the plate and initiated suit as of July 25.

You see, my file was placed with a Special Investigator to ensure accuracey. Ms. McNiff continually refuses to acknowledge the original creditor letters telling her to delete the trade lines. These letetrs go back to 2006. I filed a complaint against her personally and requested a new investigator. So, with the new Call Graph that records all phone conversations. I have recordings with the creditors supplying the date they requested Trans Union to remove it, and verification that the special investigator never contacted them to verify the documents I was supplied. If you use this method, each creditor should have a unique control number and the date they submitted the request for removal. This clearly shows when Trans Union is at fault. I have doind the email for the COO - David Emery [email protected] and [email protected] This is their problem now because it brings into question solid evidence they are uncooperative by refusing to investigate and refusing to assign a new investigator based upon a scathing letter I received from Ms. McNiff using intimidation to encourage me to discontiue my pursuit of ensuring my civil rights. Ms. McNiff falsely alleged that I was committing a fraud and somehow manufactured these letters on the originating creditor's letterhead in my "spare time". She falsely stated to the Better Business Bureau she contacted the FBI. Of course my local FBI office also thought I was insane when I showed up with my files and paperwork. The FBI said that they never seen anyone from a credit reporting agency take such lengths to discourage someone and what did I do to piss her off? I know what I did, I sent her a letter a day on each inaccurate item to keep her very busy. I complained about every last inaccurate information down to punctuation. This woman demonstrated incompetence in the very least, and her integrity should be brought into question. It makes you start to wonder about kickbacks these folks may be receiving somewhere down the line. So I have a phone number off the Corporate site and a physical address in Atlanta, so I may take a vacation to Atlanta to have an in-person discussion with Mr. Emery if emails and Fed Ex documents/cd's with MP3's don't correct this matter. Done ranting for now.

True Credit finally stopped billing for the service, only after an ACH dispute form was completed with my bank costing me an additional $25. Trans Union never honored their agreement upon inception of the service to thoroughly research the three disputed trade lines to determine why the validating evidence from the originating creditor was not sufficient for their records to prove the trade lines do not belong to me. I was told by Trans Union, I am on a special "trouble maker list" and they will not research any inaccuracy. I have been told directly by Trans Union that I am labeled a troublemaker by Lynette Fullwood in special investigations because I complained about the way she handled a fraud investigation. Lynette Fullwood willingly violated the law and spoke with my direct supervisor at my place of employment questining my integrity. As a result, I was placed in a very embarassing situation, forced to bring my documentation about my personal business to share with my employer. The incident created a number of on-the-job problems. I requested that Trans Union remove Ms. Fullwood from the case as she obviously had a personal vendetta because I filed a complaint against her for illegally sharing information with my employer. Not only did Trans Union refuse this request, but they refuse to investigate incorrect information on my behalf, and Ms. Fullwood has alleged she has full power and control and she will not remove herself from my file and Trans Union will not assign a new claim representative to investigate and review Ms. Fullwood's files.

Even after my emails and letter gong to Trans Union, they have still ocntinued to bill for the service I keep canceling and have refused to send confirmation. I spoke to my local branch manager at my bank and he told me to get a ACH form to complete from the bank the card was held. It is specifically for revoked authorization on automatic charges. In the process of follow through now. True Credit will no longer take my calls, respond to my emails, but keep billing the account.
