Let me give you the short and sweet part of the Tucket Inn story and you can read the rest of the details later if you like. I was in the area looking for an apartment and the cab driver from Airport Taxi took me here claiming this was his friend and the places were nice. As you can guess this place is terrible. My experience here had me encounter:
NO PHONE IN THE ROOMS!
No Air Conditioning as the sign claims.
Filthy carpets on cold damp concrete floors. Walking from the shower to the bed (not a long walk) had my feet BLACK with dirt.
No hangers in the closet, NONE. The closet was a cubby hole made below the TV shelf that was cobbled together out of a sheet of unfinished plywood, maybe four feet from the floor.
Dilapidated and dingy furniture that looks like it was hauled from the trash or should be placed there. Dated and broken light fixtures with no globes, and half working or burned out flourescent lights.
The one outlet in the room that I could find indicated the wiring dated from the 1950's and was two prong receptacles with no grounds. Just great for running all those electrical things while walking on the damp concrete floor, NOT!
A filthy moldy smell in the room with walls that were last painted decades ago. Rude staff that once they took your money, could care less about you.
Crude plumbing and shower fixtures with lettering scrawled on the shower stall (No Tub Here.) with a Sharpie to indicate hot and cold water, a nice touch that.
Basically I'd run away from this place, you don't want to stay there. The driver from Airport Taxi also set me up with his brother to see his apartments at 863 French Road in Depew NY. He wanted to have me pay $1000.00 month on a place he was going to furnish with things also that should have been pitched in the trash and an apartment you'd never get clean. After that he dropped me at his friends place, The Tucket Inn. Seems like a nice way to treat people coming into WNY to live, does it not? They step out of the plane, get in your cab, and you rip them off, and dump them and their belonings in the trash by trapping them as was done here. I'd avoid all three businesses.
