Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I found this company on the internet, they had a great site and everything seemed great. A sales person even called me and we discussed my situation. I was impressed and figured the "1-2-3 gethired" program was going to do the trick. First mistake !! Then I sent them 400+ dollars....SECOND MISTAKE. What I got was THREE page cookie cutter resume, with typos, and truth stretching I sent it back. Got back the next version and decided to use it.....THIRD MISTAKE. I signed up for there resume blasting service FOURTH MISTAKE. It was through a company called Resume Rabbit which is a scam in itself, 90 posted job sights equals about 20 real sights and 70 bogus mirror sights.

After about 60 days I invoked the warranty. I did get the money for the bogus posting service back but was told that they would work on the resume. I waited for another couple of weeks and was told that my resume "fell through the cracks" but they would work on it. Next came their "server" crash and another week +.

While this was going on I had both company and placement firm recruiters tell me how bad my current resume was. Tunarez finally sent me another version this time two pages but again full of errors. At this point I demanded my money back and was told no again "but we will work with you on your resume". By this time I had wasted almost two months with these people and lost how many opportunities because of a bad resume.

I finally wound up writing it myself and posted it to the main job boards today. SO in summation because of Tunarez I am out 400 + dollars, more than two months down the road in my job search and having to rewrite and repost my resume.

ResumeRabbit and MyJobHunter are the same Company?

#2General Comment

Does anyone know if Resume Rabbitt and My Job Hunter websites are run by the same folks? While researching I found that both sites have the same Customer Service number ((760) 602-8300) . Or perhaps both companies have outsourced customer service to the same 3rd party company?

I was going to pull this report until I say the rebuttal that basically called my a liar. Below is the summary from my resume. I pulled it from the email sent to me on 10/6/2006. I see three typos (international is not capitalized and neither is manufacturing, but retail is). Possess MBA in global managment is not capitalized (it is the name of a specific program -proper noun) and it sounds akward (should be a MBA in Global Managment.) I am not going to go through the rest of my resume here. Versatile, goal-driven Management Professional with 14+ years experience producing dramatic bottom-line results for leading firms such as DeWolff Boberg (international management consulting) Bassett Bedding (Retail) and Fluoro Dynamics, Fluoro-Seal (manufacturing). Proven leader with successful record of rapidly turning around struggling manufacturing/production plant operations. Possess MBA in global management. This was pulled from the cover letter sent 10/26/2006 For the past 14+ years, I have specialized in implementing solutions that have dramatically increased business efficiency, facilitated growth, reduced costs and improved retention, for organizations such as DeWolff, Boberg & Associates, Fluoro-Dynamics, Bassett Bedding and Fluoro-Seal Inc. I also hold an M.B.A. in Global Management and am currently pursuing APICS and Six Sigma Blackbelt Certifications. (actually is should be a M.B.A...not an M.B.A) I did go back in May 2007 because I could not get a refund. I fiqured I should get something for my money. I got similar results. The feedback for my resume I got was from hiring managers AND recruiters. I realize that resumes are not an exact science but realistically should I have to proofread my resume for typos when it comes back from the professionals ?? I did get a refund for resume rabbit (which is still a joke) which I appreciated. I should have used MYJOBHUNTER.com it is a great service. And recently I received an offer for free updates for life which I appreciate again. After reading the rebuttal and the line about no typos I had to respond. The rebuttal creates the impression that I was being unreasonable. The fact is all I wanted was a resume that was free of errors, that factually represented my experience, delivered in a timely manner and I did not get it.

Our client Doug was upset about the time it took to deliver his resume and our communications with him, and he had valid concerns. At the time, we were hit with a particular combination of computer problems and sick staff, and this led us to not live up to our usual standards of service. We did apologize profusely to him and made all the changes he requested to his resume; he indicated to us he was happy with our coaching service. We also refunded his posting service fee when he complained about it, though we have had thousands of clients use this posting service without issues. His concerns about the writing of the resume were mistaken, as sometimes happens with initial comments we see when we send our first draft to a client. He admitted to us that some of his comments here were wrong: there were no "typos" in the resume and in fact it was powerfully and well-written. As we do use a form of "marketing language" in the resume, many people mistake entirely correct statements, format, punctuation and tenses as errors. Once we explain the usage and reasoning behind our choices, most understand and then see excellent results with their new resumes. Doug also indicated he had shown his resume to Recruiters and they had had a very negative response. This is also something we have heard before; unfortunately we do not find Recruiters in the IT world to be the best sounding boards when it comes to effective resumes. Many Recruiters prefer short resumes that are little more than lists, because they are easier to send many places and quick to review. They believe this will result in positive results, but this is rarely the case. We developed our method of preparing resumes by working directly with HIRING MANAGERS - and we continue to talk to them to this day. They tell us a different story: they often like more detailed resumes, with emphasis on accomplishments and "soft skills" - those traits that show a candidate's personal skills in the workplace. One Hiring Manager told us he feels our resume is a "Hiring Manager's resume" - because it so closely follows what they want to see presented. This also accounts for the high degree of success most of our clients have in quickly finding jobs. But we do listen to our customers. So after Doug's comments, we made changes to our process and service to ensure other customers did not suffer communication problems or resume delivery issues. If you read the "Rave Reviews" (http://www.tunarez.com/RaveReviews.asp), you will see that many clients have had a very positive experience with us, and found great positions quickly. We guarantee you have not read reviews like this on any other site! While it does not remove the legitimate concerns of Doug, it does show that TunaRez has a solid record of producing excellent results for clients. We think Doug must agree- because six months after he wrote this comment, he came back to TunaRez to have his resume updated. Ultimately, we think this demonstrates that the job we did for him was a good one, and he was just very frustrated with the slow timeline. Many clients do return again and again to us -36% of our business is repeat business - or refer their friends and relatives - 32% of our business is referral business. We think that says a lot about the kind of job we do. We do hope people in need of job search help will give us a chance to offer our comprehensive service to them. We have been actually working in the IT field for over 20 years, we do have an experienced, professional team, and we do care about doing a great job for our customers. Some of our Rave Reviews: "The first thing I would like to say about the services I have received from your company is "WOW". When I first looked at my tuned resume I said to myself "Did I do all that?" I have never seen such amazing wordsmithing skills. I just finished my Job Search Coaching session and again "WOW". The session was so thorough that I had no questions unanswered by the end. Plus I had so many things in my notes that I had never even thought of before. Thank you very much. You will definitely get favorable reviews from me with plenty of referrals." - Mike P. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "I am still in a bit of shock, but the CEO gave me a direct hire offer this afternoon. To get a direct hire offer on the spot after your first interviewit rarely happens! All of the coaching advice you gave meI used just about every bit of it. I believe the number one factor was that I was able to articulate why he would benefit much more from hiring me. This is my dream job. I just wanted to thank you for coaching me to say the right things. You all have done a superb job in getting me noticed, coaching, and advising me on how to establish and maintain marketability. I am very impressed with TunaRez and highly recommend your services. Thanks again."- Andrew S. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Just wanted to pass along my thanks for all the support that TunaRez gave me. Between the excellent resume and the counseling session, I was able to land an extremely good job, right downtown. In fact, the employer had been looking for someone for about four months when my resume arrived. I used the coaching advice in the three interviews - and the rest, as they say, is history! Once again, many thanks." - Ian O. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "hmmmm. I'll never doubt you again. I already got a job, and it was because of the resume'. They kept saying how it caught their eye, and looked REALLY good. Of course I took all the credit for it. ;)" - Jared B. See More Rave Reviews at http://www.tunarez.com/RaveReviews.asp
