Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have never had a worse experience with a small business. I ordered Stop Tech brand pads, drilled and slotted Stop Tech rotors and Russell Racing stainless steel lines for my car on October 31st. I was told they were in stock and that I could pick them up that day, but I was busy and asked to pick them up the following Saturday. I was told, repeatedly, that they would be open on Saturday the 8th and that I could pick up my brakes. I received no receipt in my email like I was promised.

After a 2 hour drive to Tuner Ready Motorsports on Saturday, November 8th I discovered they were in fact closed. My Saturday afternoon and 4 hours of driving was wasted. I called the shop the following Monday and Miguel was very apologetic and informed me that I could make another 2 hour drive to and fro Tuner Ready on Saturday the 15th, which I had no choice but to agree to. He also said he would e-mail me a receipt because I had not yet received one, but didn’t.

So I drove to Tuner Ready again, and Kristen tried to send me a receipt but spelled my name wrong, and deleted it in Intuit, leaving me with no receipt. Upon inspection of my parts, I noticed that they weren’t the parts I ordered. Hawk brand racing pads and only slotted, not drilled rotors. I expressed my concern over the wrong parts, and Kristen explained that Stop Tech doesn’t make brake pads (which they do), and that they use Hawk pads with all of their race cars so it should be fine that they gave me Hawk pads. That’s false advertising. They advertised Stop Tech pads, I paid for Stop Tech pads, I was told I was receiving Stop Tech Pads. Instead, I received Hawk because “Tuner Ready uses Hawk and Hawk is fine”. It doesn’t work like that. I was extremely frustrated at this point, and Miguel, who had been ‘helping’ me with my order thus far, wasn’t in so I decided to deal with it later and left with my parts.

I decided to return the products (still with no receipt) mostly because they weren’t what I asked for, and I had a terrible experience with that as well. I called the shop and was informed that there would be a 25% restocking fee. If the brakes were IN STOCK when I paid for them, why would I have to pay for Tuner Ready to ship them back to their supplier? Turns out, Miguel had lied when he said they were in stock ready to be picked up the day I ordered them. I was charged a $150 restocking fee for Tuner Ready to ship something back to a supplier even though, to my knowledge, the parts were in stock when I paid for them. I called them about this issue and (after about a week of trying to solve this issue), I was told that they would charge me shipping on the brakes, or they would disconnect the phone. You would think that after lying about the stock of a product, failing to provide a receipt, promising to be open when they weren’t, and giving me the wrong products and expecting me to just deal with it, they would eat the shipping. Apparently they’re OK with having unhappy customers. At the end of the day I am leaving this situation out $70, a terrible experience, and a 20% off my next purchase with Tuner Ready Motorsports.
