Union Moving ripoff, absolute lack of professionalism, should be put behind bars Detroit Michigan
I hired union moving company for my household move from
Detroit, MI to NYC, NY scheduled for June 29, 2005. I was supposed to get a call from them on June 28, 2005 regarding the pick up time which was to be before 9:00 am as per my request.
On June 29, 2005 i waited endlessly for the pick up and made several calls. My calls were not returned and eventually when i got through to Mr. Seth hung up on me. In one sanctimonious statement, he told me that he was too busy to do anything for me, since he is only associated with sales.
I had no options left after this harassment except to approach the police department. I had a detective call the company. Finally, i heard from them saying that they are cancelling the contract on the pretext that i
had approached the cops with my complaint. This was there way of laughing at me since they are confident that the law couldn't do anything to help me.
Before, signing the contract i had made sure that they were listed with the bbb.org. I am extremely disappointed. A month has passed by and i am still waiting to get refund for the services that were never rendered. Damage Resulting = This has lead to a huge financial loss.
I had to hire another company at a day's notice and had to pay twice the normal amount. In addition, i had to make many trip back and forth from Detroit to NYC.
