After attending University of Phoenix for almost a year, I was put on bed rest and my doctor recommended me to take a pregnancy leave. I contacted the school and notified my academic and financial advisers about the situation and sent them a form stating i wanted to take a 3 months leave so i can guarantee the best delivery for my child. I also explained that the placenta had detached from my uterus and i almost lost my child.

The doctor did not even want me to sit up for more than 10 minutes because i could take the change of it detaching even more. The told me where to go on my student portal to print the form i needed and i did so and faxed it the the number provided. After about a month i received a letter stating that i was terminated from the school because of missing to many days and not meeting the participation requirements set forth from the school. They were telling me i owed them over $4,000 dollars and if it was not paid they would send it to collections.

I am at a loss to understand why people continue to enroll in this "kollege".  The UoP has more bad reports than all other colleges and universities put together.  And, even worse, most employers will not even give interviews to UoP graduates, let alone actually employ them.  I feel for your loss, but, if possible, you should enroll with one of the more respected universities that offer distance learning.
